Rowling also confirmed during an interview with the Associated Press August 14, 2006 that Hermione would indeed become "more than a friend" to pal Ron Weasley, but not before a brief fling with Neville Longbottom. Rumours of a possible love triangle have yet to be confirmed.

I guess it's an alright thing . . . I'd just think it would be weird is all. For some reason I just can't imagine these two as a couple.

Well, Hermione might give Neville a chance because Ron is being a jerk and not fessing up to his feelings for Hermione. You never know if it was planned between Neville and Hermione either to get Ron to quit being a wuss. But they are a real couple then this should give Neville alot of self confidence and make him a better asset when fighting Voldmort and the death eaters.

I guess it would be a good thing for poor old Neville but I still can't see it. Hermione always seems to have treated him like a rather misguided child but oh well . . . I guess in war people do tend to get closer together :)
