Gryffindor_Gurl - December 15, 2006 04:36 PM (GMT)
Hey here is my sample of work for advice columnist:
Hey,
(Hermione+Ron4eva) About the friend that you love, have you ever talked to him about it?? If you haven't, then thats ok, but you need to find some way to let him know or it will eat away at you inside and if he gets with another girl, then you will never forgive yourself, and everytime you are around him and his girlfriend you will act different and he will start to notice it and it might ruin your friendship also, but if you like him a lot and can't bring yourself to tell him in person, then write him a letter, or an e-mail, i find it much easier to talk to somebody that i love when i am not face to face, that way i don't break down and feel like ive done something wrong ya know? Or if you want to talk to him face to face, then make sure it is just you and him adn nobody else is around...last thing you would need is somebody to ruin it or be around and embarrass him or you and make it wierd.
I hope this helps.
Hope it works!!!!!!!! :)

Job Applying for: House Competition
Sample of your work:
On Saturday, July 14th competition between houses really began, especially between Slytherin and Gryffindor. Never, have I ever seen such tension, such pride and of course such competition. The whole school came strolling into the quiditich stands wearing and supporting either the colors of Gryffindor or the colors of Slytherin. The quiditich game started out by Gryffindor's chasers scoring 30 points in a row. Quite a feat, and the crowd went crazy. Colors of red and orange were waved through the stands..and all you could hear was Gryffindor support, but this all quickly changed. The captain of Slytherin, Mark Rubcus, beater, aimed right for Gryffindor's keeper and hit him straight in the head, causing him to fall to a slowly unconsicous when hitting the ground. Immediately the Gyffindor support was silenced and was over thrown with Slytherin. The game ended in a 130- 50 score for Slytherin. Slytherin's with their faces covered in grins swept out of the stadium surrounding their team, while Gryffindors followed behind. One Gryffindor girl, Alexis Berlin was quoted saying.."Never have I been so upset..the beater knocked off my boyfriend from his broom." another gryffindor exclaimed.."What a loss." The next match will be taken place on August 25th, Hufflepuff vs. Ravenclaw..see you out on the pitch!
Why you should be part of them team?:
I am extremely hard-working and dedicated. I love sports and competition along with writing. I would love to express storied to the student body. I am smart, talented and bold. I always have a positive attitude and make sure my articles get out on time!!

Name: Mari Maeda
Job Applying for: Quizzes
Sample of your work: Are you a Quidditch Captain (leader/your own person) or a Chaser (counting on others)?
1. Lots of kids at Hogwarts drink bottles and bottles of firewhiskey every weekend and get drunk constantly, leading to dangerous consequences. You know your family doesn’t want you to end up like them. You
a. get drunk anyway.
b. have a few drinks, just to fit in.
c. let others make their own decisions while you obey your parents’ wishes.
2. Your teacher is sick, and you have a substitute. Most of the students are planning to give her a hard time. You
a. get in on the fun, even though you think you might end up in detention.
b. say you’ll help, but then chicken out at the last minute.
c. tell your classmates they’re being immature and warn the teacher of their plans.
3. Some of your friends are planning to go buy PlayWitch/PlayWizard magazines. You
a. sneak out of Hogwarts and meet your friends at Hogsmeade.
b. tell your friends you're sick and don't feel well enough to be sneaking out at night.
c. tell them that once something’s in your mind, you can’t get it out, and you’d rather have a clean mind.
4. You have a crush on a guy who’s a little overweight. You know that if you go out with him, you’ll be teased by different Houses. He asks you out. You
a. say no.
b. say OK, but then ignore him at school and only talk to him on the phone.
c. say yes and decide not to be bothered by rude remarks from your classmates.
5. One of your guys friends are planning on dueling this student form an enemy house. You know they won't be using authorized spells. You don't know if they might actually get hurt badly. You
a. tell him not to do it or threaten to tell a teacher or prefect.
b. Shrug and not go to see the duel.
c. agree and teach him the most dangerous spells.
Scoring
Mostly A’s: Sorry but you hold the characteristics of a chaser. You follow everything your friends do and ignore your integrity. You depend on other people to make decisions for you.
Mostly B’s: You seem to be a seeker. You know what you believe in but don't do anything about it. You simply stay out of things and only deal with things that are your personal problems.
Mostly C’s: Congratulations! You are a Quidditch captain. You keep your integrity and know when something's wrong. You alert your peers when you don't agree with something and aren't scared to "tattle tale" if it involves life and death matters.
-----------------
Why you should be part of the team?: Because I am online every day and active with many people on the forum so I can communicate easier.
Shonk Da 'Onk - June 30, 2007 11:02 AM (GMT)

Sample of your work: Editing: I'll use Emma's post as an example....*hehe*

Why you should be part of them team?: Why not? You obviously need more people, and I am a grammar freak so that would make it good for editing and refining the articles, and also I have a very great interest in journalism and reporting.

LOCKED IN!
Early Thursday morning, at approximately 4:16 a.m., a spell was cast on the doors, windows, and all other exits of the Ravenclaw Tower, thus trapping the helpless students inside.
Prefects Dream Collins and Remy Salinas had been patrolling the area about that time, and were the first to realize the new predicament. Several other students, upon hearing some sort of commotion, joined in the fight to leave their beloved tower and go off to breakfast. All efforts failed, and they were forced to spend their breakfast in the common room nibbling on leftover sweets and slightly stale egg salad sandwiches.
It wasn’t until later that morning, around 10:30 a.m., that headmaster Rogue was informed by a portrait’s inhabitant of the problem. He quickly managed to lift the spell and only then could the grateful students stampede off to catch some breakfast before classes.
“Whoever did this planned it out to a T,” concluded sixth year Ravenclaw Brinna Jenkins to WW. “And I wouldn’t be surprised if they did it again in the future.”
Who is this mysterious towerlocker? Will he or she return? Witch Weekly will keep you updated. But for now, be sure not to go to bed without slipping a shoe between the door and the doorframe.
