Nik walked outside the castle. He was glad to be at Hogwarts. Finally away from his family. Nik wandered around looking at the castle from every angle. He picked up a rock and chucked it, it was getting a bit boring just wandering alone. So he wandered over to the steps and sat down. He liked the castle but when he was outside there was really nothing to do. He turned his head and saw a person in a large cloak walking along the trees. At least he hoped it was a person. So he decided to follow him. He walked a short distance away but long enough that he wouldn't be suspected. But it wasn't far enough.

"Who are you? And why are you following me?" A manly voice said from underneath the cloak.

"I could ask you the same question...Except you weren't following me..." Nik said oddly.

"Oh...er right," said the 'man' with his voice faultering, "...wait," came the voice, "are you trying to trick me?" The 'man' under the cloak was infact a female, a third year by the name of Leona. She liked to talk in odd voices sometimes, she didn't know why, it was just a force of habit. She giggled sounding decidedly unmasculine and turned around, "Daniel, you dork," she smiled then realized it wasn't whom she thought he was and she blushed, "erm...who are you?" She asked.

Suddenly Shonk, with twiggs in her hair and a scowl on her face, came storming through the trees and crashed right into Leona.

"Ouch! Watch it would yah!" she snapped irratbly as she started wrenching the twiggs out of her piggy tails.

She glanced at Nik and her face began to merge into her trademark grin that clearly showed she was up to no good. "Oh you showing the new first years around Leona? How lovely of you! Who would this be then?"

Nik looked at the two. "I'm Not Dan...But I am his brother." Nik smiled and put his right hand behind his head. "His older brother. I'm Nik." Nik looked into the forest then said. "So what are your names? Might as well tell me cuz I'll figure it out anyways. Why were you sneaking around in an oversized cloak?"

[Dan walked up behind the two girls and put a hand on each girls sholder. He didn't know why but for some reason he was scaring people a bunch lately.] "This is Leona...or Leo." [He said guesturing to Leo.] "And this is Shonk." [He aslo said nodding at Shonk. Dan smiled at his brother.] "How's it goin' Nikki?" [He always called his brother Nikki, even though Nik hated it.] "Like it here?"

Phoenix came walking out of Hogwarts for some fresh air. She noticed that there were other students on the edge of the forrest. Phoenix decided to run over to them to say hello. "Hey guys, whats up!" Phoenix waving at them as she approached them.

Dana saw Phoenix walking outside and onto the grounds and started to follow her then saw that she had walked up to a group of students that she didn't know. Should I go up and talk to them? she asked herself. Well, I wont never make friends if I don't try.... Dana continued onward and walked up to the group and said " Hi guys, mind if I join you? My name is Dana Lynn."

"Oh, Nikki is it?" She giggled some, even though her nickname was just as bad. "Of course Dana you can join us, it's a free world, right, of course right!" Oh God, I'm sounding more jewish each day, I'm not even jewish! She thought. Maybe I should say sometihng so I don't sound so odd, then she looked over at Daniel, why isn't he saying something she began to panic, although she had no legitimate reason to panic. Brain! Shut up!

Dai stalked from the castle with a goal in mind. She needed to find her roomate, and last she knew Leo had been planning to slip ouside and wait for Dan. Down the stone steps and out along the path along the Forest walked the first year as she looked about for that distinctive pink hair.

Dai found it, among an odball crew compromising robes of all house colors and a few different ages. First glance suggested that most here were first years, like herself. She also wasn't all that interested right then. Pushing past an older Hufflepuff girl and nodding abruptly to her fellow Gryffindors and Phoenix, Dai cut in on Leona and a first year Slytherin. "Hey Leo! Your cat just sicked up on my bed again. I cleaned it up, thanks much, but you'll need to fix that cat when you get back to the dorm. My scourgify backfired on the bed and zapped him naked. Serves him right even if I didn't mean to do it, I say!"

OCC: OMG! That'd totally be something he'd do too! lol

Lena blinked staring at her room mate, "Oh, I'm sorry, he's usually pretty good about the hairballs," then laughed at the thought of him being naked, "poor cat." she laughed "are your sheets ok though?" She questioned concerned. "Don't worry, he wont do it again. I got his anti hairball formula so he'll be good to go for a year or so," she smiled.

Dai waved the older witch off on this. "Sheets are fine, it's your cat that's freezing his tail off."

The First year, with her initial mission accomplished, then returned attention to the current. "What the world is going on here anyway? Ya'll were comin' down to meet Dan I thought. I didn't know about a group outing.... And what's with the outsized robe, Leo? You aren't up to scaring hapless first years now, are you?"

Leona blinked, "Um, no...I like running around pretending I'm a dementor, see?" She runs around quickly in circles but the robe is caught on a branch and it is ripped off her and in result, she trips and falls to the ground face first. "Ow, she said her face muffled by dirt, "I merhnt ter dor thart," she said.

Dana stood listening to the conversations taking place around her, listening intently. All of a sudden she sees Leona turning in circles and trip falling. Dana runs to Leona "Are you ok? Do you want me to get you anything?"

[Danny stood still and watched everyone walk up. Eithier the group was quite popular or someone IN the group was very. He kept watching everyone kind of suprised that Leo had started running around like a twit. Although he didn't say anything.] "Uh huh." [He said in response to nothing.]

Leona looked around and spit out the dirt in her mouth, "Nah, I ment to do that," she said with her dignity stinging only slightly. "I'll be fine, thanks for the concern," she said getting up and dusting herself off. Underneath her robes she was wearing a buttoned up baby blue blouse with a pair of tight fitting jeans that flared at the bottom. Her hair was layered and curled by just having it done today. besides the dirt on her face, and her hair was messed up a little she was looking particulary nice this evening.

[Dan looked at Leo. She looked different today. She looked done up.] "What's going on Leo? Hot Date tonight?" [Dan teased her.] "C'mon. We're all mature here...You can tell us!" [Dan smiled and waited to hear what she had to say for herself.]

Leona tossed her hair teasingly, "why you jealous?" she laughed geting her fingers stuck through a twig that was in her hair. She gave up on that and hoped that no one saw that. "No, I have no date, just decided to get gussied up to see if anyone would notice, mission accomplished, it seems," she smiled telling the truth.

[Dan smiled. He felt like laughing but didn't. That would just embarass her. And he didn't want that. Dan walked over to a tree and was about to sit down beside it when he fell through a hole in the ground. It was quite deep but shallow enough that he could still see over the top of the ground, Just barely. Dan almost ignored falling into a hole and smiled again hoisting himself out and sitting on the side of the hole.] "Oh...So you don't want one then?" [He said. His tone was a bit annoying but he still smiled.]

"Oh I don't know," Leona was playing coy now. She snkiered when he fell into a hole, "You're just as klutzy as I am, aren't ya?" She snikered again. When he wasn't looking, or at least she hoped he wasn't she pulled out a twig from her hair. SHe let out an inaudible scream for the twig was tangled from her and and when she took the twig out, hair came with it.

Shonk rolled her eyes at the current conversation going around and she shot a dirty look at Dan who had gotten himself into a bit of a mess. Sighing she turned her attention to everyone and graoned, "Well this is fun but exactly what are we all doing out in the forest!"

Of coarse Shonk knew what she was doing but she could hardly do it with everyone around.

[Dan ignored Shonk who had just rolled her eyes. He smiled at Leo again.] "A Klutz I may be..." [He shrugged.] "But, As you said, I'm not alone..." [Dan had an idea!] "That would be a great idea for a poem!!!" [He yelled as he got out of thw hole and stood beside another tree, this time first testing how solid the ground was.]

"Hmm," she laughed, "you were a poet and I didn't know it," she laughed at her feeble attempt at a rhyme. then a thought struck her, "you're not going to right a poem about me that details on my klutzyness are you?" Her eyes get wide. "I have a rep to think about you know," she couldn't say the last bit with a straight face and began to laugh.

[Dan laughed a bit too but not enough to make her feel odd.] "Well...My offer still stands if you want...Or if it'll hurt your rep too much then nevermind." [Danny smiled and turned around pretending to walk away. Then he turned back again.] "But I guess that all depends on if you can remember what I said!" [Dan smiled then turned back around again and started to leave slowly...Very slowly...So slowly that Leo had to get the idea he wasn't really going to leave.]

Leona looked at Dan then looked at shonks. She walked up to him quickly and grabbed his arm, she whispered in his ear, "You know," she said, "I get the feeling that Shonks wants the crowd a little thinned out so she can get into whatever trouble she has playing to do," she then turned around and waved, "so I nominate you to go, Ta!" she said. then laughed, "just kidding Daniel, I would never vote you off the island, unless I was coming with," she beamed good naturedly.

Shonk frowned. It seemed her fellow students were in no rush to leave anytime soon. So sitting herself down on old tree stump she watched what she could only consider as flirting going on between Dan and Leona. Rolling her eyes again she pulled a cookies out of her pocket and started nibbling away.

[Dan smiled.] "Well? You coming?" [He said as he turned around.] "We could go for a broom ride or something..." [Danny smiled when Shonk grabbed a cookie.] "I think I need to make it up to her." [He whispered as he got out a box. He handed the box to Shonk. It contained the best cookies in the world.] "I heared you like cookies." [He laughed a bit to himself then looked at Leo again.]

"A broom ride?" Her eyes sparkled probably more enthused then she ought to be, "I've never riden a broom before," she beamed, three years at Hogwarts, still a flightless being, go figure. Then she got sorta scared, "Is it safe?" She asked Daniel then looking at the others to see what they woud say, if anything at all.

[Dan looked at Leo when she asked if it was safe.] "Nope." [Dan said as if it didn't matter. He was a pretty good flier but you can never tell if it's going to be really safe. Brooms have lives of their own.] "But if you get thrown off...I'll save you!" [He smiled.]

"Well that's good to know," she smiled, "We'll lead the way to the quidditich field and let us away some Shonks can go back to wreaking havoc!" she smiled not believing that she was about to have her first broom ride, ever.

"Right, well, I get enough of this in the dorm room, thanks much. You two go make out on a broom or what not, I'm going to se if that cat caught cold yet."

Shaking her head Dai was about to turn and go when something moved deeper with in the forest. Something wearing a black and tattered robe. The girl began to feel the happiness sap from her, but took the chance to notice the distinctive scent of fresh baked cookies...

[Dan rolled his eyes. Why is it that when him and Leo talked everyone tuned out? He was kind of getting sick and tired of it. No really he was, he hated it when people tuned him out...Maybe he would just stop talking to Leo...Nah...Then he'd have nothing to talk about!] "Yeah yeah yeah! Well if you guys are all sick of us then...I don't like you! Just Joking...Kinda..."

Nik sighed. "Oh...Dan!" He shook his head. "It may be annoying....But you'll have to live with it...Or...And...Suffer!" Nik knew that it sounded mea but he had been quiet long enough and he wasn't going to be anymore.

Shonk, who was too busy devouring the box of cookies Dan had given her, ignored the current conversation but she did however notice what Dai had and she immediatly stopped munching.

"Broom sticks! Right! Sounds great! Lets go!" she shrieked as she jumped up off the tree stump.

Dai was experiencing a similair situation of being caught unaware of the current conversation. Untill the Hufflepuff witch jumped to her feet yelping about brromsticks being an excellent idea. Feeling a tingle right through her shoulder blades, Dai jerked herself back to a very sad reality and began taking a few stuttering steps backwards. "Yeah, Broomsticks, or homework, or Detention with Filch, I'm sure I've got something to be doing myself..."
