Hi, I was wondering if I could help out with the witch weekly. I have noticed a new issue hasn't come out in for awhile and wondered if it was because lack of help. I'm willing to do the interviews or the wrighting parts of it. If anyone else feals a need to help you can post here. ~Drake

It's not so much lack of help that we need it's more a lack of inspiaration and energy to get anything done. :D We have started the next issue about four time now but each time we are nearly done we all seem to shut down and go on unannounced strike and by the time we are back up and running everything we had previously done was old news.

Anyway we are happy to have you both on if you are both still interested??

Exactly what Shonks, I do hope you two are still interested seeing as we're trying to get the WW back up and running. For one thing, please tell Shonks if you are still interested and what position you would like to work as on staff. That is, do you want to be a reporter? Maybe a sports reporter if you want to be more specific? Do you want to cover breaking news? Things like that. Just let Shonks know. :)

Sure Becky! Um a topic? Hmm, actually this is one of the things you would help out with, finding what topics to write about on staff! But you can give a sample about anything, an editorial on a particular character, an article about elves being held hostage in Madame Padfoot's, something like that. Just something to get an idea of where your talents could be best used on the staff.

But I have another Idea...This is only a suggestion a collum about the people on the LC. Like who's sick...Who won't be coming back...Who got hurt. I could do that...

This is something that I came up within a few minutes. Not my best but here is a sample:

Breaking News!!! There are elves that are being held hostage inside Madame Padfoot's. Or are they?

Is this a coincidence? I think not. I have never seen so many elves together at one time. Is there trouble among us?

As most know, elves are not generally ones that get together in one outside place to get together for coffee. They are more of a domestic creature that keeps to themselves. It is quite odd to find so many held up in such a place such as Madame Padfoot's.

Of course, we all know that Lord Voldemort is back. For all we know he could be trying to rally up the elves to his side like he attempted the giants. If he is successful in this task we will be in all great danger. Elves are very powerful with a keen sense of nature. They are unlike muggles, witches and wizards. Though there are not as many left these days, we rarely see a full blooded elve. Most whom have been mixed are considered “black listed”. They are not as powerful or useful to the elve nation, today.

I was able to speak to one small elve through the window. It was quite hard to hear over all the chanting inside Madame Padfoot's.

“So, small elve, do you know why you are here at Diagon Alley at Madame Padfoot's?”
“No, we have not been informed yet but we are still waiting.”

“Have you been held here against your own will?”
“Well,…….”

This is all I could obtain from the small elve since he was pulled away from another. I’m not exactly sure what’s going on around here. More and more chaos seems to be happening. Not to long after we have arrived at Madame Padfoot's, Dementors showed up through the sky, scaring all of the towns’ people. Swooping here and there. They seem to be guarding Madame Padfoot's. Since the Dementors have scared everyone back into shops, they all flew into Madame Padfoot's with an odd object or thing. It was so hard to tell, but all we heard was screaming from young children and women.

What is left for us? Are we in danger? Is it Lord Voldemort? Only one can tell. Is this a coincidence? I think not.



Just let me know what you think. I have written other things in the past, Well when I was on the school paper in High School not so much in college. But anyways, I love the criticism!!

Becky, I love, love, love it! I thought you were funny when you said "Is it a conicidence? I think not." Love the first person point of view too, that works really well for you. Do you have a title?

Shonks will probably reply, but from me, you're in! This was a great sample! Is there a specific position you would like on the staff? If not, we could just say that you're a "Reporter" and any interesting articles, news or anything you could just write.

But yes Becky, I was very impressed by your article. It wasn't too short or too long. Excellent job Becky! Very nice! This can be in the new issue of Witch Weekly! :clap:

As most of you know some of the witches, wizards, and house elfs get sick, injured, or are unable to come onto the Leaky Cauldron for a period of time. So I am here to fill everyone in on these people. Some people who have been expelled (On rare curcumstances) grounded, injured, ect. are:

Oh...Another Idea hit me...Horiscopes (if it isn't already being done) like special LC horiscopes...Like special names and symbols what's lucky for you...stuff like that...(I could do that instead)
