by the time movie 7 is started will dan, emma ,tom and co be to old for the parts of 17 year olds?

i dont want them to be too old to play the parts, but they probably will be. i mean, tom is 17 right now, by the time they start filming the 7th movie, he'll be like 23 or something! i think emma mite be able to do all of the movies, but im not sure about everyone else.

That would really suck!! Emma is like the perfect age for all of the parts... but Tom and Rupert will definetly be too old and Dan will be getting there!! I doubt that they will get different cast members... it just would be the same! They might just stop making the movies though...

I do think they will be to old, especially Draco (no!!) I'd say they will get new actors eventually. I'll probably be about 18 by the time all the movies are out!!

I’d be sad if they got new ppl to do the parts, but I don't think they will. They have 20-25 year olds act as high school students all the time on TV. Don’t ppl look about the same through 17ish to 25ish?

I think they are growing up too fast, if you compare the 1st movie to the 3rd, they have grown ALOT! But then I guess people have their growing patch. It would be the best thing if Emma ended up taller then them all, they would have to change the actor because if their was a romance scence with either Ron or harry they would be the one who would need to be on a box!!

I agree that by the time the 7th movie rolls around they will be older then their parts...but I don't think its as big of an issue as some ppl make it out to be. There are tons of ppl in the movie and tv world who play the part of high schoolers when they're in fact in their 20's. I also believe that it would ruin the movies to change the actors. I know it would ruin it for me personally. I'm excited to watch the actors grow in their talents and appearance. For me, Dan is Harry, Emma is Hermione, and Rupert is definately Ron...it would take away from the movies to change that.

But yeah, I think the characters will BE too old but prolly won't LOOK too old, know what I mean? I mean, Tom doesn't look 17 to me!! I think they'll be ok until the end of the movies (hopefully!!!!).

I agree with Li; I now recognize the HP characters by who plays them: Ron is Rupert, Harry is Dan, Hermione is Emma, Draco is Tom, etc. That's how I picture them in my head, and it would totally ruin it if they changed characters!! I would be veeery upset if they did.

i would cry if they changed them, i wouldn't be able to watch the movie, and actually see them as the characters.

well, if they hurry up and make the movies, then they won't be to, to old, but i think they'll be young enough, they can't change the charactors now, can they? So they have no choice, i don't think they'll be to old, but they'll for sure be a little older than they're supposed to be.

if they change the characters the movie will be a bomb. it'll suck. nobody will want to see it. maybe some real HP fans.

I agree...changing the charactors would totally kill the movie. I hated it when they had to change dumbledore's actor. But they had to do that. Changing the main three charactors would suck ten times as much as that did!!

If they were doing it on a real life scale they would be too old but I believe that they will be closer to the perspecive ages of their characters than some actors are in other movies. All in all I think it will turn out okay.

the thing is they can't get the movie's out any quicker because they are already catching up with the books i think its really up 2 jk to get 7 out in time before they finish movie 6

yeah... they already looked older than they should. but they wont change much over the next few years, you know... they grew, they aren't kids no more. So it really is up to JK to just get book seven out bafore the rest of the movies.... i;m pretty sure she'll make it tho

It will suck if they get new actors,BUT...I heard that the would be making the 5th movie (which is infact a major bonus!) and after that there will be NO MORE HP movies...PLUS the guy that directed the 3rd movie,AINT gonna direct the 5th!!!

i think that kinda sucks that there gunna leave the movies in the middle without the grand battle at the end . what a cliffie! if there gunna just make 5 its kinda not gunna be true 2 the books. i no they aren't exactly very true but the have the same titles right?

I bet they will make seven movies, just because they'll want to complete the series.... and even if the actors are getting too old, it's too late to change them now. What is the point of starting a series of movies and then deciding to stop in the middle of it? That's just retarded! Having the charactors to old for the part is better than having no movie at all!
