Official RPG Rules
Rule 1.) Spammers Galore ~The two kinds:~
- Mutiple-Post Spamming
Despite what many think, a good response is not "yeah" in one post, and then an explaination in another, and perhaps another explaination in the third. If you remember something you wanted to say, but already replied, there IS such a thing called the Edit button. Use it. Do a little searching around the box that contains your reply.. I assure you, it's there..lonely because it hasn't been used in a while. - One-Worded Spamming
Please, if you can't make your responses 3 lines long..don't even bother replying. Or... reply after others reply, that way you have more to base your response off of and make it longer, and more indepth. This goes for both RPG's and regular discussion threads.
Rule 2.) Shop Rules & RegulationsThis is the big one. I've seen so many people do the wrong thing at least in my shop(Ollivander's). So let's do these by letters to make it easier:
Rule 3.) No Godmoding applies both to the Daigon Alley Shops and ALL RP threads- You CANNOT, at ANY time, whether IC or OOC, Godmode
.
Godmoding Definition: Godmoding a character is when one character roleplays the other character's words, actions, or both. Using myself as an example, you CANNOT include in your post what I say to you when I haven't even replied yet, what I'm wearing if I haven't specified it, what my reaction is to anything you type, how I'm moving, or what I'm doing. When you roleplay, you roleplay ONLY your character's actions and what YOUR character has done. NOT mine. The "loophole" so to speak, for this rule is if in a previous post I mentioned for example that "Meridae was spinning around in her chair." When you reply your character could say, "so and so saw Meridae spin around in her chair, and laughed at the site."
- The basic run-down of Godmoding is this: Your character must seem to be selfish and self-centered and focused only on themself when it comes to roleplaying with other people. This leads to your character not seeing what another character actually ISN'T doing, ISN'T wearing, or ISN'T saying and therefore avoids godmoding. Mind you, when I say they must seem to be selfish and all that, I don't mean their actual attitude needs to be selfish and whatnot... but for those that are new to RPing, this is the simplest way to avoid godmoding anyone else.
*The main reason I think most have godmoded in the shop threads, is because they don't think there's a shop owner to attend to them. But I assure you,
there's a shop owner for EVERY store. Also, if you have any questions regarding these rules, feel free to PM me or any member of the staff. :) .
Submitted respectly,
