[Dan walked up to Headmaster Rouge's Office and stopped in front of the door. Dan had second thoughts about asking the Headmaster his question but he still wrapped on the door three times.]

KNOCK...KNOCK...KNOCK...

[Dan was going to wait for an 'Enter' a 'Come in' even a 'Yes? What is it?' But instead he opened the door a crack too see if the Headmaster was in. He couldn't see anyone but all the same in entered slowly and closed the door tight behind him.] "Headmaster? Excuse me, Professor Rouge? I have a question about helping out with something. Hello? Headmaster? Are you in?" [Dan looked around the Head's Office and saw a few things that he would have never seen in a muggle house. Although, he himself didn't even like being see in muggle homes. Dan heard a noise coming from above him and noticed a stairway. His curiosity got the better of him and he headed towards the steps. Daniel started up the stairs and was about at the top, when he stopped short of two stairs. He didn't want to get in trouble yet his thoughts were quite intact about the whole checking out what was up the set of stairs. Dan didn't want do be in trouble on his first day but still he ventured on up the stairs.]

Professor Rogue - Headmaster

"Daniel!" Professor Rogue said, looking up from his filing cabinet. "What are you doing about to go up there? Is there something I can do for you?"

The Headmaster gave the young wizard a puzzled expression. He was just recently admitted to the school and Rogue wondered why he was in his office on his first day.

"Did something happen? Did you have a question or something?" he asked.

[Dan came back down the stairs.] "Sorry Professor...I Just heard a noise and thought you were up there. I didn't see you." [Dan said. It was almost the truth but he also did want to see what was there.] "I was just wondering really what kind of things there are to do here right now. I mean I noticed that we don't have classes right now and I was mostly just wondering why." [There was another reason why Daniel had come to the Professor but for the time being he just really didn't remember what it was...Dan smiled a bit of a forced smile but it was all the same quite convincing.]

Professor Rogue - Headmaster

Rogue looked at Dan suspicously. "Okay, why don't you have a seat?" he offered as he sat behind his desk. He still wondered what he was doing going upstairs.....

"To answer your question, there's tons to do here at the LC Academy. You just have to look around and explore. The Newbie Guide really breaks down what is what and where it is, so make sure you check that out. But basically, the first thing I'd try to do is make friends. Your magical education will go so much better once you get to know people. One way to do this quickly is to go to your common room and mingle with the other Gryffindors, they'll be happy to talk to you and such. And you can even ask them what things they do here at school, they might even take you on a little tour or something. But all the houses are competing for the House Points and as you can see, Gryffindor is in the lead. I've outlined how you can earn house points here so make sure you help Gryffindor out!

"As for other things, it basically depends on what you would like to do. You could join the Gryffindor Qudditch team, they have reguarly scheduled practices. You could also go exploring in the Room of Requirements or take a swim by the Lake. If you like to write or feel creative, we're always looking for reporters for the Witch Weekly or shop owners in Diagon Alley. There's plenty to do.

"We don't have classes now because term is almost over and the classes stopped awhile back because the students got too busy, a very long story, but they'll start up again. Anymore questions?"

[Dan didn't sit.] "Nope...Not really." [He said as he walked over to a wall.] "I think that long explanation cleared up just about everything I wanted to know." [Dan remembered one of the things that the Headmaster had said. He thought he might as well ask that before he left.] "Shop owners? What kind of shops?"
