Title: Mundungus
Sardine - November 12, 2006 11:53 AM (GMT)
I think that Mundungus Fletcher might just play an important role in the 7th Harry Potter book.
He's been introduced to us, but we dont know much about him, besides the fact that he drinks, smokes, likes to steal and is quite dodgey.
Will he help Harry, or will Harry push him away- maybe even kill/injure him (Dung)- for stealing goods from the Noble and most Ancient House of Black?

I think Dung is going to play a very important role in HP7.
With his thief connections I wouldn't be surprised if he stole the real locket horcrux from Grimmauld place...
MungDung will be on the run from Voldemort and will probably give Harry the locket horcrux....in the hope that Harry can defeat the Dark Lord

he is right now in jail.......and the ministry wont let him out unless harry makes a deal of becoming their poster boy or something........ ^_^ and i dont think that the order can afford to not have any members

I'm sure Mundungus will play a role. There aren't too many characters that can travel in dodgey circles to get information. And the Order needs information. There is only one book left, and there are still a lot of horcruxes out there!

Hmmm, I need to re-read the books, I'm not knowledgable when it comes to the details of HP. Could someone refresh my memory? Who is Mundungus, which books was he in and what is special about him? Was he a Death Eater?

All righty, thanks for the recap nikhil. Hmm, this is a good question. I'm not sure how significant his role will be but I'm sure if JK mentioned him that we're bound to see him again. It could be that in Harry's search for the Horcrux's that he encounters Mundungus, or maybe he'll escape if total chaos happens in the wizardy world? Or maybe Harry will like go to his house or something...just speculating.

i reallyl don't see mudungus having that big a role, i just don't...He, no doubt will have a good bit of page time but i don't think it'll be earth shatering...or maybe im wrong, that happens alot :)

I agree with Leo, I don't think he will be a very big part. He might help Harry out in some ways, but he won't be a main influencial character. J.K. mentions alot of characters, but not all play a big part. I just think he will continue being for the order and help out, but thats all.

I think that he'll somehow tip Harry off about the locket horocrux. I'm sure he wont even know himself what it is, but somehow Harry and he will be talking, and it will be among the Black things that he took, and that's how Harry is going to get ahold of it.

I think Dung will play a role in the 7th book. Though it may not be all that important.

I think he'll play some type of role in book 7 for a couple of reasons. I think if a character is given time in more than one book the chances are you'll see them in the end, also he's a member of the oop!!
