Welcome to Gringotts bank. Please open your new vault according to the following instructions.
Opening your new vault-
First you will make up a vault number of your choice. Once you have the number in mind, please look throught the existing vaults to ensure that the number has not already been used by someone else. Once you have your personal vault number, you may start a new thread. Label the thread with your name and vault number (e.g. Dreamy's vault#9999). Once you have started your thread, post the amount of money that you recieved from your Neccessity Package. That is your starting balance in your account.

Purchases-
Each time that you make a purchase, you must keep track of how much you have spent. Then you will come to your vault to record those purchases. You will post what you bought, and how much it cost. Then you will subtract that amount from your old balance, and show your new balance. When you receive a receipt from the shopkeeper for that purchase, you should go and edit your post, and paste a copy of the receipt.

Maintaining your vault-
As you post, you earn more money. You will accrue more money as you post on the forums. Each time you accrue a post, you will earn 1/2 dollar. Make sure to periodically go into your vault, and update your balance to show the funds being deposited. To do so, you will take your starting balance, and then deposit your "new" money and then show your new balance. The easiest way to keep track of this is by typing how many posts you have each time, therefore it will be easier for you to keep proper records of your money after purchases.

This is an example of how maintaing your bank account should look like. You shoud post this rubric each time you update your account.
Example:

New post count= This is your current post count
Deposit=Forum/Posting=$ This is your newest earnings from your posts since your LAST visit to your vault.
Balance=$ This is the combined total of your last balance PLUS your new earnings.

Hey, prob a stupid question but do we change the money and group info on the left of where we post just under the avatar? I havnt been sorted yet so dont have the 150 but does that go onto there automatically or does it get updated when weve put it into a gringots account? and will it change to tell me what house im in after the sorting of will i have to do it myself?

Ok you will be given $150 under your avatar, however you may go and start your gringotss vault right now and put the $150 in the post so you can start making purchases. You will recieve an Owl from the HEadmaster letting you know which house you've been sorted into. After you've started posting and made purchases, the money shown under your avatar will NOT be accurate any longer, so it is important that you keep track of your deposits, purchases and balanes. Your vault is open for audits at anytime. I hope that helped. If you have any other questions, please feel free to send me an Owl. :)

Thanks alot i think i get it now. so the money under the avatar will increase with the 150 and subsequent posting money but it wont get reduced with spending so you need a gringotts account to keep an accurate handle on things?

yes your posts are counted as soon as you register but keep in mind not all places have post count turned on. Most of the rp forums do though as for the already taken numbers for vaults there is no list so you would have to just have to look here http://z3.invisionfree.com/leakycauldron/i...hp?showforum=64

Umm Dream I cant seem to find my vault.... last time i updated it was when i got my ANWA license.....

Go ahead and look through the existing vaults. If that number is not taken, then yes you may use it. :)

I was looking through the Registration forum and then over here and I got the idea that maybe there should be a list of the numbers that are taken? To make it easier? I don't know, just a suggestion.

I actually thought about it awhile ago and honestly that would take up a huge amount of my time considering how many vaults there are. maybe it will be something that I do in the future but at the moment I don't have the time and I don't want anyone else to do something like that. Thanks for the idea though. It's a good one. :)
