Cate woke up early on Sunday morning and decided to write a letter to her mum and dad. So she got dressed and came slowly down to the common room to write the letter. It took 20 minutes to get all her thoughts down onto the parchment and so when she was finished, the letter was quite long. Cate then put the letter into an envelope and wrote the addressee's names on them.

She began to walk through the corridors towards the owlery. It was just a typical Sunday morning in the middle of Winter, with not many people in the corridors at all and the weather dismal and cold. Everyone she saw was rugged up for the season and Cate herself was wrapped tightly in a cloak, which was billowing out behind her in the cold breeze. She climbed the steps up to the owlery tower and carefully opened the door. There was no-one else in the room.

Cate pulled her cloak closer to her when she entered the owlery, due to the freezing winds that were blowing in through the open windows. Cate looked around to find the snowy owl, Angel, that she shared with her sister, Savanah, and eyed her in one of the top rafters. She whistled and because Angel was trained, she flew straight down to meet her. Cate tied the letter carefully to Angel's leg, while she looked out the window and thought about how cold the day was going to be. When she was finished, she gave Angel a little scratch behind the ears and said to her, "Take this to mum and dad, ok?".

Cate watched as Angel flew out the window and smiled to herself, for she knew that today was going to be a great day at Hogwarts. She then quietly descended the stairs and began to walk down to the Great Hall for breakfast.

[[October shoved in the door to the Owlery and walked past Cate.]] "Hi" [[She muttered as she called down one of the barn owls, but the owl wouldn't budge. October turned around and noticed that Filches (sp?) Cat was in the corner of the room.]] "Get outta here!" [[October ran at the cat and it fled the room, the next thing Oct knew there was a bern owl on her shoulder it's leg held high.]] "Here you go." [[She attached an envelope to the owls leg and whispered, in it's ear.]] "To the Emilia twins!" [[The barn owls started chirping, and hooting, so October plugged her ears.]] "Whats going on???"

[[Jay walked in and opend his eyes...Red as blood...and the owls started a ruckus.]] "Hey...I was looking for you...what are you doing?" [[Jay asked October just as the owls shut up.]]

[[October turned around and looked at Jay.]] "I don't need to be monitared you know...I can look after myself!!! And what do you think I'm doing up here??? PLAYING QUIDDITCH???" [[October yelled the question at him.]]

[[Jay's eyes widened...he had never heard October yell before...he knew he was in trouble know.]] "Sorry then...well...i'm gonna..."[[Jay started to ack away.]] "BYE" [[Jay ran and ran until he couldn't see the tower.]]
