Two characters killed off in final Potter book

I dont want ANY of the trio off!!! I thought that Lupin [Baskicky the last of the true mauraders] would go and Mr.Weasley maybe...

Unicorn tail hairs
Cedric, Neville, and Ron all have wands with unicorn tail hairs in them. This is a bit disturbing because of the following exchange from PS15:

"Yeah," said Hagrid, glancing up, too. "Listen, I'm glad we've run inter yeh, Ronan, 'cause there's a unicorn bin hurt -- you seen anythin'?"
Ronan didn't answer immediately. He stared unblinkingly upward, then sighed again.
"Always the innocent are the first victims," he said. "So it has been for ages past, so it is now."
Cedric, like the unicorn, has already died. Is Ron or Neville next?

Found that on the HP Lexicon webpage. Sounds like Ron and Neville might die in the last book. Pretty good evidence that they will if you ask me. So that means the trio is no more. As for Lupin maybe he will kill Wormtail then be killed himself. Theres the end of the mauraders. Just an idea.

Gah,I dont know...But,JK says she's had the ending planned since about 1990 (16years ago),so we could be in for loads of surpirses.
I just hope that the final book is over 1000 pages,despite rumours saying it'll be shorter tha HBP.

Yeah Sardine she says she wrote the last chaper 15 years ago but she sayd she has chaged just a tat bit since then but still shes known about this for 15 years! Also they had a video of her on CBS news she was talking on a Bristsh talk show and then it kinda just came out that she was killing one of the characters off....in a way I think its Hermione and Lupin....but I dunno but I just dout it Ron at all and it could be Mr.Weasley!! I mean I could guess but you never know with J.K.!
And I dunno what if its Harry AND Voldemort that are gonna die it could be that and then what will happen!!! :o

Hold on...I just thought of something: Could it be Bill and Fleur? Voldemort could see them as a threat,especially if they have kids,cause they'll be pretty powerful.
Lupin and Hermione...It could be Lupin and Moody or Lupin and Mr.Weasley...

Well, I say Harry's definitley a gonner. I was kinda hoping Hermione and Ron would stick it out, maybe get together as well, but... Knowing J.K. is aiming at main characters, not the side dishes, that's unsettling. It makes almost everybody a possible victim. But yeah, in my opinion, Harry's coming out of the mix at the end of Book 7.

I know I was kinda hoping the same thing but yeah knowing J.k.!

I mean yeah you would think the main characters but it might be some of the non-main characters its a possibley.....

And yes I think it looks like everyone is a target with this! But what my other concern is what if Harry died and Voldemort agined power..............................................................................

Brittany,that wont happen. JK doesnt want to carry on writing Harry Potter books after the 7th one,and she doesnt want to leave us with an unfinished story.If Voldemort lives and regains power,then she will be leaving us with an unfinished story.
With JK,it's possible that she'll kill off a character that we thought was insignificant and un-important,but was actually a main character in disguise.

Either Ron or Hermione are def. goners tho. :yes: It only makes sence to kill off one of Harry's best buddies. :yes: But yeah she def. isn't writting anymore HP . . . I'm thinking she might have an Epilogue at the end of the book but that would probably be it.

Yeah she has clearly stated that she wont be writing any more HP books. Which sucks cuz there are deffinatly going to be alot of unanswered questions. The last chaper will be about the surviving characters and what they go off to do. She says that this chapter will answer all the questions everyone has but I really have a hard time doubting that.

I think that Snape will die. Goodness knows he deserves it after his betrayal to Dumbledore!!! I think that he will defintely die! It would make a kind of sense to kill off Harry, but I think that Voldemort has to die in order for the series to end. Snape & Voldemort are major characters who have been major parts of each movie. I know J.K. has been torturing us with killing off someone we love for the last few books, but maybe this time it will be the bad guys that die... Then again when she said in the interview that she actually kept one person alive that wasn't originally intended and added two more to die that weren't originally going to, she said "there's always a price to pay...." and no one would sad if Snape or Voldemort died.... I just don't know!!! That woman makes my head spin!!!!!!!!! First Serious, then Dumbledore......I don't think I could take it if we lost a member of the trio..... :no:

I don't know and it's starting to DRIVE ME CRAZY!!!!!!! You know I had really started to like Snape by the end of OTP, but after HPB I just don't know.... I would rather lose him then one of the trio for sure.... I'm sorry.... I don't want to upset you. Let's see... she could really throw us a loop and kill Professor McG..... that would be sad! Any of the Weasleys.... the twins? OH NO!!!! I have to stop...

It didn't actually say that any of the trio die so i dunno...

I think that it'll be one of the trio as well, you know, someone close to Harry. JK seems to have a knack for killing off people close to him, almost like a curse. But my other thoughts were that it might be Neville, since he was the other possibility for the "Chosen One" or whatever since he was born around the same time as Harry, perhaps he will help Harry in some way and get killed himself.

I have a feeling lupin could die as all the people close to harry are being killed off and i surpose that Lupin is really the only one left apart from MaGonnagal who i think will play a huge part in the next book being the new headmistress.

I have been wondering if Professor MaGonnagal might be one to go also. Does anyone think that there's any kind of chance that Serious & Dumbledore might find a way to come back for at least the final fight? Even in a spirit form...I mean the way both deaths were written it almost left them open for return....

Thats a point but im not sure how they would come back maybe DD but not sirius

:( That's just so sad.... It's just not fair that Harry finally has a family member who loves him & cares about him & he dies before Harry really got to have any time with him at all.... *sobs* I really really liked Sirius too!!!!!!!! :(

I think Peter will have a change of heart and die protecting Harry after all he was Jame's freind for a while and was even one of the marauders the other character who i think will bite the big one is Snape (Sorry Sardine) i know everyone is wondering if he's good or bad and i really don't think that matters, either Voldemort will off him or one of the members of the order.

Peter owes his life to Harry, so it's possible that he makes a quick change,but will probably get killed in the process.
Sirius will be coming back. Luna talked about the voices behind that Veil. Connection?
Dumbledore might come back in human form,I cant see him being a ghost... Although he might just turn out to be one.
I think it's possible that Lupin will get killed,seeing as he's the next best thing to family that Harry has.
At the moment, I dont think the Weasley twins will die. Bill and Arthur on hte other hand...

Just a thought, did it ever occur to you that Sirius didnt sign a thing saying who must be Harry's Godfather is he(Sirius) were to die? Weird.

What do we know about that? I mean Sirius had made a will which left Harry all of his belongings including Kreacher... but he never named a guardian for him? And I wonder who Dumbledore's beneficiary is... Did he have family that was alive? Would it all go to the school? Huh...I'm sure these are just a few unanswered questions I will always have....

I reckon either one or both of them come back or a least one, either in the last battle or just to guide harry, but i really hope they both come back i would love it but to be honest i dont think DD is dead.

You know Dream Grey, I never thought about Dumbledore's will... I think that he would've left most of his stuff for Hogwarts, then let a few people get certain items or something. Good observation though :)

I was thinking that myself...I think that if Dumbledore isn't able to come back, then he probably will have left clues for Harry. That's kind of why I started wondering about Dumbledore's will. I was thinking that he would have left Harry something, at least a clue to help him find the other horocruxes and possibly to aid in the defeat of Voldy.

I think Dobby was just about Dumbledore's House Elf... What about Kreacher? What if he helps Harry without wanting to,or will Harry forget about him and leave him at Hogwarts?
Dumbledore might have given Harry all the clues he could. I think he did.

oh yeah i spose there were tones of elfs working in hogwarts, i do still think there is one last thing DD could have tols him or didn't even know

OOOOOOOOoooohhhhhhh! I hate Kreacher!!! He's a nasty little thing! I hope... I don't know what I hope! I don't know what kind of help he can be, except maybe being forced to tell Harry about anything he had overheard between the Malfoys and Bella.... I wonder how any of the house elves would be able to help Harry... I would love to see Dobby again though. I like him.

That would be cool. Maybe he'll even end up helping in the final battle.... After all if we remember...he is pretty darn powerful! He threw Lucious across the corrider in CoS and he didn't need a wand to do it! I bet the battle will be awesome! All the students that Harry had trained for Dumledore's Army, and witches and wizards like the Weasleys, Lupin and Tonks, up against all the Deatheaters. Oh I just can't wait! so 1st they get rid of order members(had inside info as to who is in order),got rid of traitor, then voldy came to know of great threat so james and then lily(but wasnt part of plan) and met his downfall ,
death eaters wanted to know where voldy was and hence longbottoms
harry was interfering in ss, tom riddle lured harry by threatening ginny, old man was trespassing, bertha had to go,barty crouch was cracking, now harry was really planned to perfection but cedric shouldnt have been there.
bode again was main character,sturgis was useful, mr weasly an accident, sirius died in fight
amelia bones was not in order but a threat. emiline vance was in order(but how did they know it).........karakroff had to go(foolish to stay alone ,should have joined order)
Dumbledore was planned.

so here is how they choose
1.exceptionally talented people
2.order members
3.traitors
but main preference is given to those who are alone so
1.exceptional people- mcgonagle,kingsley,olivander
2.order members who are alone- hagrid,mrs.figg,moody,(fred & george),lupin&tonks
3.not ideal time for traitors to reveal themselves, maybe at ending.

i know i haven't posted in ages but i liked the lok of this topic. It was a while ago people were talkin about DD and his will or if he hadnt one then who would get his possesions. ANSWER: his next of kin a.k.a his brother Aberforth who currently has the locket from the cabinet in 12 grimmauld place also rumoured to be the horcrux from the cave.

Also I remember J.K saying there would be alot more deaths so i assume there will be more than 2, obvious one being voldy. i remember reading an interview before with j.k. where she said she loved on too much to kill him off. However 'sacrifiices must be made' so i reckon he's going to die. :(

i dont know? but as i said they will 1st go for those order members who are alone,atleast it makes more sense.
but i agree that a lot more people will have to go,it makes things simple.

Jk usually gives us clues when she wants to kill somebody off.
She did that when she wanted to kill Sirius off.
Little side remarks like that used in the books, such as the one in Grimauld place when we see the words " harry...we are all dying to see you" is used or when Sirius defends himself by saying that he would rather have died than to betray the potters.

Its these small but none the less significant side remarks which are so important and they keep on appearing all over the place.

Personally I think that Mollys scene with the boggart (book 5) is very important.
Here harry sees the boggart take the shape of Mollys worst fears...in this case a dead Ron, dead twins and even himself....dead.
If these side remarks which JK puts in have any importance at all than Id say the future looks fairly grim for Harry and Ron.

Anyway, putting all clues aside for the moment....The weasley family is so large and yet no one has as yet died...granted, Ginny came very close, so did Bill, but he and she still live.
No weasley has yet died, yet others around them have.

In my opinion this is very lucky and the chances are extremely high that this could change in the final book.

So if I were to take a divination test...id say one weasley...most likely ron will die.


Now, lets turn our attention towards Hagrid.
The big friendly half giant man who has been helping harry through the books.
Yes Hagrid...just like Dumbledore, and Sirius he has been one of Harrys mentors.
Two are already dead...does this mean that he is next to go.

So far harry has always hidden himself behind one of his protectors.
First Sirius, than Dumbledore....now it might be Hagrids turn.

Only when the last Protector is dead, can the final show down commence.
