Well from all the times that I have read the books it never says anything about Harry having short hair so why did they cut it. I also agree it looks stupid. And wheres the scar in the picture. I don't see the scar anymore. My personal opinion is that they need to include everything from the books. People would still go and see it if it was 4 hours long. Look at LOTR Return of the King.

I'll sign the petition. and if i remember correctly the LOTR Return of The King was like 3.5 hours long in theatres. Now think if they made Goblet of fire that long. I'd have liked it alot more.

Ive watched all the Lord of the Ring's,but I didnt know they had an extended version of Return of the King.

Dalejin,Daniel didnt have his scar,cause that was a clip for the Queesn 80th Birthday,that part wasnt for the actual OotP movie.
But yes,GoF should've been at least 45min longer and OotP should be at least 3hrs long!WHo cares if it costs more to produce the movie?!

They do Heath they think there wasting there money but really what they dont see is that they could probley earn more money!! And that queen thing was weird ^_^

lol. yeah i have to agree with you Shonk. they should have made an extended version of all the Harry Potter movies. think about how many more they would have sold. and how much happier the fans would be. i just recently bought the fourth movie with special features and spent the remaining money i had on it. i had to. lol. obsessed with it now. lol. just my point of view though

If they made the extend versions of th HP movies now and put them on circuit...Sold the movie tickets half price...Lets just say that they'll rake in more money than they got for PotC1 and 2...Much more.Plus fans would go absolutely crazy with happiness.

I mean, that's part of the reason you buy DVDs for the extended features and such! There's been a lot that they've cut out and I would love to see it. But what is their reason for doing this? Afraid that the DVDs will be more popular than the actual movie?

They could rake in more cash if the DVD's are more popular than when the movie hits the big screen...DVD's are more expensive than movie tickets.
But still,not much we can do...We should ask Mugglenet to start a petition :P

Alright, heres the way I've always seen it. Where did most Harry Potter fans get their start? With the books. So...what is our first love? The books of course! When the millions of us who can't get enough of HP flock to the theaters to see our midnight showings what do we want? Well, we basically want to see the world we've read about come to life in an accurate manner. But how can that happen if they're cutting out half of the material?! And then, refusing to give it back to us to boot.

Moral of my story is, that pleasing the hard core HP fans should be a big concern for the people in charge of these movies. Obviously you can't do every single thing...but when you start cutting out half of our beloved books, obviously you're going to be letting us down. But if you insist on doing that, the least you could do is let us enjoy the extended version on a dvd...so we can at least pretend they did the books justice. I'm with Reg, what are these people smoking?

They should realise that what most fans love is Quidditch. Add extra Quidditch,despite the cost of the CGI,ad fans will go crazy and the Producers will make more money. Even if they add more Quidditch to the Extras on the DVD's that'll be a good start!
