Title: Favorite Task

Professor Rogue - February 19, 2005 12:36 AM (GMT)
So what was your favorite task? Was it the first one, involving the dragons? Maybe the second one, where the contestants had to swim down to the bottom of the Great Lake. Or, was it the final task where the maze, filled with all sorts of oddities, took place?

My favorite was the second task. :P I always found the lake fascinating, and ever more so after this task. I would have never thought of all the different creatures living down there, including a whole colony of merepeople. I really liked it, as I did the other two tasks. Plus, it was really exciting for me! I couldn't put the book down!

Shonk Da 'Onk - February 19, 2005 01:46 AM (GMT)
I dunno

Dont really have a fav...Maybe I will decide when the movie comes out :)

angelsflame265 - February 19, 2005 04:34 AM (GMT)
I really enjoyed the first task. I don't know if it was the task that I liked or that Harry had that "yay i'm flying" moment.

SiRiUsLyAdDiCtEd - February 22, 2005 04:40 AM (GMT)
oooh, that's a tough one! they were all really grabbing and exciting, but if i have to pick a favourite it would be between dragons and maze. one bad thing about the dragon task (not really the task) is that we already knew what it was. that surprise was taken away by hagrid. i loved that harry was the best out of the four champions and that it involved flying :D

one bad thing about the 3rd task, the maze, was that it seemed too easy. which it was since barty crouch jr. made it easier for harry. i loved that harry learned new spells, that it included so many different dangers and how cedric and harry worked together (and accidently kept running into each other).
yeah, i've decided the last task's my favourite :)

BarbieGirl - February 22, 2005 04:54 AM (GMT)
I liked the second task the best. (Including how Harry had to figure out the clue with the egg and when he went to the prefects bathroom.....I love that bathroom! LoL)
It was funny how JK wrote about mermaids in such a different way to what we know and to imagine what it would be like to be living in the lake!! I also thought it was cute that Hermione was Victor's most precious person (or however they said it!) :D

CheerTwisters13 - February 22, 2005 04:59 PM (GMT)
I liked the water task and the dragon task because it gave the contestants a chance to be creative... the Maze was pretty much ust luck of which way you went through it!

mwiley - February 24, 2005 11:26 PM (GMT)
I enjoyed the first task the most, it was soooo exiting!! I loved all the challenges, but this turned out to be my favorite, i can't wait to see this part in the upcoming movie!!!

scarletwoman - March 6, 2005 06:18 AM (GMT)
my fave task was the second. i love the water task so much. i dont know why. it's just my fave.

Phoenix - March 8, 2005 06:50 PM (GMT)
ok, i wanted to say the first one because of my obvious addiction with dragons and flying but in terms of reading, i felt the third task was better. it was harder with all the different obstacles and engaged your brain at other parts - i like variety. it was just more gripping and complex and then of course the end was the portkey.....

hermionefan4life - March 8, 2005 09:23 PM (GMT)
My favorite task was the second one. I also liked the first one a lot. The 2nd one kept my attention. I thought it was different and out there, but I liked it. And the first one was cool and the third one was just kinda normal and not really different in ay way. it was just a maze.

Phoenix - March 11, 2005 10:50 PM (GMT)
i couldn’t disagree more!!!!
I liked the way there was so many different things you could
face in the maze. Harry only got by so easy cos of moody :ph43r:
so you cant judge it as crap because he didn’t come across
anything spectacular on his way through it!

flounder21 - March 16, 2005 08:50 PM (GMT)
i liked the 1st task w/ the dragons because it was smart of harry to think of flying. enev tho that was my fav i like all of them too. :wizard:

RavenclawChaserB - March 17, 2005 02:28 AM (GMT)
dragons are sooooooo cool thats why i chose the first task :wizard:

RavenclawChaserB - March 17, 2005 02:30 AM (GMT)
i like the way they had the little dragons thay seem kool i want one lol :wizard:

darko-grl - March 19, 2005 08:20 AM (GMT)
I want to run through the maze and get lost...

Luna - March 19, 2005 04:54 PM (GMT)
Good question!
I liked the first one because going into the unknown is always exciting. I also like wat all of the champions did to get past the dragons. And it was scary too.
The second task was wat had the most suspense. Even tho i didn't want harry to be the last one out!
Then the third task: hmmm, i think i would've like it more if the fake Moody hadn't cheated for Harry! I found that really annoying in the end. Not sure why really.

So i guess i liked the first one the best.

darko-grl - March 23, 2005 07:29 AM (GMT)
I likes the egg one as well. I mean trying to figure out what it meant must have been fustrating but would have been fun...

Muttering_Myrtle - March 29, 2005 02:47 AM (GMT)
I would have to definitely say the second task was my favorite, but of course I liked them all. :)

Coldfire - March 29, 2005 05:19 AM (GMT)
I just like LOVED the maze one at first, until I found out that Barty Crouch had cheated to help Harry win. That just made me really annoyed and mad!!!

But I reeeeally loved the dragon quest. First of all, I loooove dragons :D And each contestant had to think of a way to get the egg from the angry dragons, and most of them came up with a different idea. They also had to have strategy, and again, they all nearly did. It was soooo interesting to read!! :D

darko-grl - April 19, 2005 08:25 AM (GMT)
I know, when I found out that Harry had been cheated... I got angry, I would have been angry..... I would have gone through all that work and found out that it was a waste of time, that i didn't deserve it because someone else was cheating for me, it would have been angry and frustrating.....

I would have demanded a re-match!! :ph43r:

RWeasly2008 - May 6, 2005 01:58 AM (GMT)
I liked the first task the best but the 2nd and 3rd were exciting also, I just think dragons are pretty cool! hehehe

Coldfire - May 8, 2005 06:39 AM (GMT)
Oh me too!! I absolutely loooove dragons!!!

RWeasly2008 - May 13, 2005 01:19 AM (GMT)
Hehe awesome! Yeah my friend Eric thinks they are pretty cool too, he saw the trailer and thought they looked extremely well! But yeah I liked the 2nd task also with all of the underwater stuff.

angelsflame265 - May 14, 2005 07:40 PM (GMT)
My favorite task is the first one :) I like it because after it everyone starts to believe that Harry does belong in the contest. Plus its the only time Harry gets fly for the only time in the book :)

lilly potter - June 9, 2005 01:28 PM (GMT)
i liked the first task better than the 2

mwiley - June 12, 2005 08:19 PM (GMT)
I too liked the first one better than the second one, even though i liked the water scene. The first one was just more exiting for me. I was also angrey when harry got cheated. I agree with Rweasly, if i went through all that to find out that i didn't deserve it, and that cedric should have won, but he died instead..i wouldn't feel very good about it.

whiteflame - June 20, 2005 07:21 PM (GMT)
the dragons of course. i love dragons, and love to read about dragons. i dont think i liked any of the others, tho some were interesting, just to read about. when i started to read about the next challenge being dragons, i wanted to keep on reading, so i could get to the challenge. i think i even skipped some pages. heh

mwiley - June 25, 2005 07:23 PM (GMT)
Dragons are awsome! When i found out the first task was going to be dragons, i wanted to keep reading too, but i didn't skip any pages, the longer you wait the more exiting it gets...having to wait for the task in the book, made me want to keep reading it and not put it down. That was probably what jk was trying to do.

Kitty - July 8, 2005 06:20 PM (GMT)
I liked the eggy-mermaid one because they had to use there brains! HeeHee! :P

Aurora - July 10, 2005 03:14 AM (GMT)
My favorite task was the second task. I loved mermaid city and the lake...it's all so mysterious- very cool!

__Natalia - July 10, 2005 07:06 PM (GMT)
i liked the third task. it would be really fun to go threw a huge maze and try to get out while putting spells on creatures and stuff.

mwiley - July 16, 2005 08:10 PM (GMT)
I think that would have been hard...i mean harry and Cedric had to work together to kill one of those creatures. I liked the riddle part though. It would be fun to do a maze with riddles..i'd lose, but thats ok, it would still be fun.

jyo226 - July 22, 2005 05:34 PM (GMT)
I liked the maze beacuse so many new things were introduced and we were able to see Harry use so many new spells. The best part was when Harry and Cedric decided to share the prize (although it ended badly).

FISH - July 24, 2005 08:33 PM (GMT)
i liked the first one becuase it was just cool and harry reallly had to think about it more then the other three plus i believe it was the most dangrous

mwiley - July 27, 2005 03:01 AM (GMT)
Yeah, it probably was the most dangerous task. The third one was pretty dangerous too though.

I thought that point spell was pretty cool. Like a compass that actually works! lol

FISH - July 30, 2005 06:46 PM (GMT)
Ya turst me sometime dont trust compasses....i went to BSA camp (boy scouts) and i took ornetring so i wnet on the crouse and i got lost becuase of my dang compass

mwiley - August 16, 2005 05:47 AM (GMT)
Yeah..in my opinion, those things NEVER work.

But anyway..we're stiring a bit off topic here aren't we?? Like I've said a couple times the dragon task was awsome!!!!

Coldfire - August 21, 2005 10:00 PM (GMT)
I still liked the maze cuz of all the spells needed and the suspense of trying to find the middle before the others.

mwiley - August 29, 2005 11:58 PM (GMT)
Wonders never cease..i thought you'd liked the first task best because of your dragon obsession, coldfire :P But I also liked the suspence, and when they got to the end of the maze i didn't exspect it to be a port-key at all!

whiteflame - August 30, 2005 01:55 AM (GMT)
I LOVE DRAGONS! thats why i chose the dragons. and isnt the dragons the last task? or didnt you do them in the order they went in the book?

but i still loved the dragons. i saw the movie still tho, and they dragons dont look real. or at least i dont think so
