Title: Hogwarts Cafe III

Professor Rogue - May 27, 2006 09:10 AM (GMT)
Well, the last thread had 315 post, so I said, why not start a new one?

The link to the last thread is here

This is the Leaky Cauldron's official off topic thread. You don't have to role play, you simply post as yourself. Talk about school, friends, parents, whatever is going on in your life, that annoying brother of yours, or that friend who just told the whole world your secret. This is a bonding thing, hopefully, so feel free to talk!

RULES:

* Be respectful
* You must be able to TALK, not just spam. Let's get a conversation going!

The last person to post was Sardine:

Are we supposed to RP in this Thread,or just...Well,do what we're doing now?
Anyway...
My exams start this Wednesday...Which sucks,but anyway. I rate im gonna do not too well in my Music Practical...Ive gotta play two songs i havent played before {[color=YellowGreen]good cripes!}
And right now,I are busy freezing and wondering if anyone wants me to carry on with my 'Ha!Ha!Ha!NO!' FanFic...

How is exams for everyone? That's what everyone is talking about these days. Mine was maybe 2 weeks ago, I want to say a week and a half but you get what I mean. I was very stressed to say the least. Like you said Sardine about your music exam, I was dreading my Geology and especially Spanish because you couldn't study for it! It was on the computer and . . . .oh my word, I can't even explain it.

For Geolgoy, we got to use a full sheet of notes so that helped a LOT, but still . . . I am just glad that it's over becuase the teacher was whack.

Sardine - May 27, 2006 10:08 AM (GMT)
Hmmm...Im writing Biology on Monday...Biology is NOT my strong point!
I shoyuld be studying right now...Oops.
Ive still got *counts* 12 exams left, and ive written 2...Major bummer there *looks sad*

And oh,I feel special 'bout being the last one to post :P

ChaserG456 - May 30, 2006 11:39 PM (GMT)
What you talking aobut Britt? You had the SOLs there you don't have exams and on the half days you're sitting on your butts watching a movie while my school is taking an exam! Yeah we had like three SOLs I was so worried about hte math cause being in advanced math is so hard and then you take the SOLs and find out it's os bloody easy! Really Brittany who are you going with?

SOLz Exams the still are the same thing sorta and also RICHELA we did not watch a movie I sat there for an hour staving my guts out thank you! and who do you think I'm going with Richela!!! <_<

Shonk Da 'Onk - May 31, 2006 09:05 AM (GMT)
Exams have been surprisingly easy . . . I do get bored with having to sit in a dead silent room after I have finished. That would have to be the worst part about them . . . I'm rather impatient. So yeah . . . I have one more left and that is my Maths one which I'm not at all worried about because for some odd reason it's my best subject this year. They want to put me in Maths Methods which is like the high maths class but I'm going to do that next year so I don't have to change all my other classes around ^_^

ChaserG456 - May 31, 2006 07:38 PM (GMT)
Math is my worst/best subject...I really don't know which...it's the only class I get a B on....but I'm doing 8th grade math in 6th grade so yeah. I hate that part too! Which might be the reason I talked after the after SOL was done last year. And they are not the same thing Britt SOLs are basic skills that the state thinks you should now....exams are tests your school gives you that are a bit more challenging so they make sure you learned the stuff. And we have to take SOLs AND exams thank you very much. And as well as our stomachs hurting from our hunger our brains hurt from the difficult problems we have to solve now instead of 8th grade. And how could i know who you're oging wiht unless you tell me?

IlovDanielRadcliffe - May 31, 2006 07:48 PM (GMT)
 Well if its so hard how are you in it huh! lol kidding but really do you always have to beat me when it comes to complaining! And Shonks are you compleatly done with Exams? Cause I want my banner! :P [wow I'm nice arent I]

ChaserG456 - May 31, 2006 10:09 PM (GMT)
Well I'm good at complaining when I want to be! I don't know how i got in that class....I don't know how i got in honers either...(it's official now by the way got it in the mail) don't feel bad Shonk....she wants me to make her an avi

That's interesting. Because I'm usual towards the last to finish my exam. Especially for Geology, I was the last person there.

I'd have to say that math isn't my thing. I can do it, but I'm much better in English. But higher math gets confusing with log rhythmns. Cosign and Sign, ugh, don't get me started. And who could forget those polynomials, where you have to find the angels and such. Ugh, don't get me started on math! It makes you wonder, what am I going to use this for in life? I understand some math but the triginometry and stuff, c'mon!

Ok first off.....HUH!

Ok and now for the part that I understand

I hate Engish and Math!!! But I do love History! Its WAY more interesting!!! I know everything from the Pilgrams to the Cold War oh yeh! I also like Reading and sciece was ok...but then agian when you have a teacher whos like out of it [and even l00ks like it] its sorta hard to like it....And Art cant forget about Art! :D Yeah I know I'm not very smart but oh well thats just me for yeahz....

ChaserG456 - June 1, 2006 12:07 AM (GMT)
yeah I hate math and one time we were learning something confusing and this girl raised her hand and boldly asked, "When are we ever going to use this in life." I don't remember the answer but i know i'm never going to use it(partly cause I can only get it half the time) oh and English simple! I wanna be a writer when I grow up so I already have to know this stuff but we're doing this grammar thing and she put up six names up on the board of the peole who had a better grasp on the subject and I'm one of them...I got the highest score on the test too! even higher than C.J who is the supposed genius! and then in history i got this award thingy magiger and they're putting my student bio in this national yearbook thing? I still don't know what it's about and then in science i just have the highest grade...and if you haven't figured it out already I'm smart...but if it makes you feel better I'm getting an F in math!

Midnight - June 13, 2006 01:03 AM (GMT)
I want to be a writer as well, so I'm always top in English. I always ask myself, when we're going to use some of these subjects in life...like History! You seem pretty imtelligent Richela, maybe you belong in Ravenclaw! *mutters* about Jason...*mutters*

And yes, I feel better you're getting an F in Math! ...Just kidding! Why do you think so? I'm going to fail History, Geography and Spanish! I can assure you that one! Jason...do you REALLY like *gags* History?

ChaserG456 - June 16, 2006 12:34 AM (GMT)
Me in Ravenclaw? Ahhh RAvenclaw is for the intellegent and quick minded. I'm slow so I couldn't possibly be in it. I love history actually and science and....actually call me a dork I love all the subjects I take I even like gym a little bit. I always do good in history that's why...I've gotten a perfect score on those SOLs twice now so I don't have anything to complain. And I'm failing math because it takes me a bit to understand it so I can't do the homoewordk and I don't understand it till the next day so yeah....I'm getting a B average for the year just an F this period. You don't get pi? What's there to get? It's neverending decimal....C.J knows up to fourteen numbers of it...every time he says it I go like, "Oh my gosh you are such a dork! Get a life!" How the hell did he get a gf? all I know of PI is 3.141 yeah....don't bother to memorize it cause I have a life! And actually now that I think of it...for the whole year I'm getting a passing grade in math so I'm cool...and I'm going to honors!

Jasonlw - June 16, 2006 04:38 PM (GMT)
At my school honors have hownwork over the summer and whole pager full.... I don't want to be in those classes!!!!!!!! But if yu want to do those classes go for it!..... Every person in honors classes are in 8th grade....

ChaserG456 - June 18, 2006 03:24 AM (GMT)
Nah I'm gonna be in the seventh....and yes i want to be in it....I get to do high school credits! I don't think that's how it is at my school but whatev

Professor Rogue - June 21, 2006 08:46 AM (GMT)
Okay so this past weekened I went to a Sunday School Convention with my church youth and such. It was a lot of fun, the convention that is, but some of the adults were out of control. In particularly this one lady named Ms. Leatrice. Just her overall attitude was enough to make me NOT want to go anywhere with her again.

She started off wrong when we were getting ready to go and the pastor was there to see us off (we left at 6 a.m.) and she was telling him about some checks that she signed wrong or something like that. "Look pastor, I said I made a mistake I did it wrong okay?" she said. I sat there and looked at the other kids like . .what is her deal?

Then on Friday Night they had this Youth Explosion, kind of like a talent show. Some kids read poems while others played instruments. There was a big District Choir with all the kids from all of the churches singing together. I REALLY enjoyed that because I love to sing. But of course sista Leatrice had to show out with that. Our choir director told everyone to wear black and white, "but if you don't have it, just come as you are," he added.

Me and other kids from my church didn't have any black and white and since we lived over 3 hours away, we weren't about to go back home to get the right clothes. In the van, Ms. Leatrice showed her ugly head:

"You should always be prepared. You should have had your black and white," she said.

"Huh?" one of my friends said. "But we didn't know that we were going to sing in the choir, you didn't tell us."

Ms. Leatrice got quiet for a second but it was the truth. None of the adults in charge told us that we would be singing in the choir or that we needed to wear black and white. Ms. Leatrice didn't care, she continued and jumped on me since I went to the convention last year. "Well, Reggie should know. He's been to enough conventions to know what they wear."

"But they didn't even wear black and white last year," I spoke up. "The choir wore whatever they wanted."

She didn't care and went on and on and on. I told my mom about this and she just rolled her eyes. The attitudes of these adults sometimes is just too much, it's so unnecessary. The way she went on, I didn't want to sing at all. But I think when I see Ms. Leatrice this Sunday that I'm going to pull her to the side and talk to her and tell her how I didn't appreciate her attitude at all.

Shonk Da 'Onk - June 21, 2006 09:34 AM (GMT)
OMGZZ SIMBA!!!!!!

Ok I so can't be stuffed reading all of the above so is it possible for someone to summarise for me because im just to lay 2 read right now. :P

IlovDanielRadcliffe - June 21, 2006 09:56 AM (GMT)
Too bad Shonks your gonna have to read the painful paragraph like I did :P

And Reggie thats terrible!!!! Unfortunalty I'd have to live with teachers like that a lot but yeah thata terrible are you really gonna pull her aside next time! I would try a little sweet revenge but yeah this is church were talking about Lord come back and haut me if I ever do that but yeah is confroting her the best thing .......I dunno but that was pretty harsh....and I'm in choir too at my school we also have to ware Black and Whites to our concerts.....and if we dont she puts 3 big fat 0z in the grade book :o

And by the way nice banner my doggie's name is Simba :D

Shonk Da 'Onk - June 22, 2006 03:06 AM (GMT)
If the lion king came out before I was born I would have been named after Simba's mum. Surabi or whatever her name is . . . Now I hate my name but it's better then that.

ChaserG456 - June 30, 2006 06:09 AM (GMT)
I think they love your sig more than what you actually had to say!
I hate people like that! Ugghh you just reminded me of one of my firnds in third grade like I said almost absolutely nothing and she would take something random that would make her seem like I'm the bad person and say it. Ugghh shame I was friends with those girls. Ha I wasn't just friends I was so close to being best friends with her! Wasn't that hard all I had to do was break a few rules...ahh yes first time I cussed osmeon out was third grade....you all must be proud. But then the whole class was agaisnt this girl Courtney and I knew that it was partly because of Christina (the girl mentioned above) and i just went to talk to her and I joined her side which had a number of two members(including me) and when I told Christina and them they had so much power that my actual true friends(whihc weren't good friends either) in that class Logan and Olivia had to pretend to be friends with me. And the started like pushing in line in front of us and everything. Then I found Courtney a bit annoying so I ditched her and joined Christina again....then she moved and I got switched to the advanced class with Heather, Jena, and trhis other rich girl. And for the record Heather used a calculator for her advanced math homework....she didn't deserve to be in that class! That school was full of brats making third grade one of the worst years of my life.

Professor Rogue - November 19, 2006 10:33 AM (GMT)
wow, this thread isn't used that much!

So I'm finally free! This week was the busiest ever. I barely got any sleep because I was either up all night studying for a test or writing another paper for school. With Thanksgiving coming up, I think the teachers tried to load us up with every amount of homework they could think of.

So now I'm back. :) How is everyone else doing?

Professor Rogue - November 30, 2006 11:33 PM (GMT)
No one's posting in this thread! :(

Anyways, while I was on the bus today, I noticed something that I'm going to post in the "Stuff that Bug You" thread int he games forum. But there was this guy who was not sitting directly by me but in my same row and he was just coughing uncontrollably. Ever few minutes he would start coughing, that really nasty cough too. But the thing about it was that he didn't cover his mouth! I shook my head and said, "You need to cover your mouth" and he kind of looked at me. I think he heard me but oh well, it's true! Nobody wants his germs. It was gross.

Shonk Da 'Onk - November 30, 2006 11:42 PM (GMT)
Germs project real far too . . . when you cough I mean and especially when you sneeze. I was experimetning with it today  I'm easily amused if you can't tell.

Professor Rogue - December 18, 2006 09:00 AM (GMT)
So I have exams this week and 3 major papers that I've put off to the last possible minute to write. So I'm feeling very dry about that and am wondering around about it. So that's what I'm up to these couple of days. Will be able to put more updates to the boards and such once exams are done and over with.

mwiley - December 20, 2006 01:04 AM (GMT)
Oh sounds like soooo much fun rogue

I've got one more test on thursday and one block after that I am FREE for winter vacation and can't wait to start actually sleeping again ;>

If I ever get my butt out of bed during the break, I'll be sure to be around here.

One question for you all....WHERE THE HECK ARE ALL THE ROLEPLAYERS!

I dunno...maybe everybody's just busy with finals and crap coming up but everybody's like gone...gahhhh who will reply in all the threads?

Shonk Da 'Onk - December 20, 2006 01:46 AM (GMT)
Meh . . . RolePlaying is boring . . . at the moment anyway.

Im hungry.

Twilight - December 20, 2006 03:43 AM (GMT)
You asked:....WHERE THE HECK ARE ALL THE ROLEPLAYERS?

Well, I'm having a good time RPing in the Forbidden Forest with Amy E and some centaurs at the moment. Stop by for a visit if you want. I'm going to try to feed the centaurs some cookies!

dreamdancer7699 - January 4, 2007 11:58 PM (GMT)
It's been awhile since anyone postedin here,so I just figured I'd stop inand say hi. I've been out from work sick all week. Luckily no school this week, or I'd be behind in all my classes to. School starts again onMonday. What about everyone else? When do you guys go back? How was everyone's New Year? What did you guys do? I had some champagne and fell asleep about 5 minutes after 12am. :P

Professor Rogue - January 5, 2007 01:10 PM (GMT)
I'm not sure where people are mwiley, it's very interesting though.

Aww sorry that you're sick Dream, what do you have? The flu? That seems to be going around here a lot. I hope you get better soon, drink lots of orange juice! :crutch:

I have another week off from school, I got back January 16th. I'm so hapy for that, it's been great! Though I've been sleeping in and I mean sleeping in these days. Monday I woke up at 7 o'clock. I know, I know! But I've been staying up all ngiht and then going to bed at like 7 a.m. or 8, so my body's been getting used to this so yeah... I'm so ashamed! :bag:

But I had a great New Years, drunk a lot of fake bubbly (that fake wine that you see from Welsch's? Good stuff!) I'm really enjoying the break from school though, because as we all know, once it starts, it never ends...

Shonk Da 'Onk - January 5, 2007 02:08 PM (GMT)
Don't be ashamed Reggie. My usual get up time is about 1pm :P But I'm a slob so that might explain it.

New Years was a boring as heck for me! I was meant to go to a party but it was pouring with rain (extreamly unusual for this time of year) so I just stayed home where it was dry. :P And I really wish it was rainging now coz I'm boiling even though it's like midnight. You would think it would have cooled down but nooooooooo

Anyway . . . one of my besties flew to America yesterday. Funny thing is, due to the time zones, she actually arrived before she left. She is there for the next 20 or so days. I can't wait till she gets back.

Professor Rogue - January 5, 2007 02:16 PM (GMT)
Thanks Shonks, now I don't feel so bad! lol But yeah, my usual get up time is around 1 o'clock. I'm glad I'm not alone! :naughty:

Is it hot there now? Wow, it's winter over here in America. What did your friend come over here for? Is she doing an exchange program or something? Secondly, have you ever been here to America Shonks?

But here in the summer, depending on where you are, it's usually really hot at night. Especially in Georgia.

Hermione+Ron4eva - January 8, 2007 01:26 AM (GMT)
Whats up ppls? it feels so good to be back. OMG tomorrows the one year anniversery of when i first joined. That makes me feel so special :D

Shonk Da 'Onk - January 18, 2007 03:19 AM (GMT)
Its been boiling over here! Even at night it still boiling! I stayed up until about 3 o'clock last night and I was still sweating like mad. It just doesn't seem to want to cool down anymore, which is really bad considering all the bushfires we have raging down here at the moment.

Anyway she went over for some kinda excahnge. She comes back on the 23rd but she already wants to come back now because she is feeling majorly homesick . . . well actually it's more boyfriend sick then anything :P and I've never been to America and I don't really plan on going. I'd rather visit somewhere more interesting (no offense) place that hasn't been taken over by Macca's or things like that :P

Professor Rogue - January 20, 2007 04:44 AM (GMT)
That's great Belle! I'm glad after a year, you're still with us!

Is it really that hot there Shonks? Wow! Talking about reversal. Over here in America, it's the dead cold winter. Does it snow over there at all? And do you have winter, like does it get cold ever?

Well I'm sure your friend will tell you all about it Shonks. Do you know what state she visited? New York? California? But wow, you mean to tell me that you wouldn't want to visit us here? Ha! But there's soooooooo much to do!
