1. Before starting a RP game, please visit the Suggested RP's thread to see if you idea is already in the works.


2. RP games don't have 'specfic' rules themselves, but please try to add some sort of story guidellines so that people have somewhre to go. Please don't turn it into a Social Thread and try to add to the overall story itself.

3. You can play another character or be yourself. Make sure that if you are another character besides yourself to make sure you put the name of your character at the beginning of every post you make. Like this:




4. Last but not least, each person is only allowed to play one character. that way it doesn't get too confusing and it is fair to everyone.



- Use your imagination! Everyone has one! You read the books so take something that happened in the books if you can't think of anything!

- Make sure you don't just write things like: ok *eats em again* or *hiding under non-existent table* without anything adding to the adventure. You guys are REALLY into 1 liners, spamming and turning every thread into a social thread. Try to add dialoguq ALONG with actions that your character does. Do something drastic to change the story. But don't just write 1 liners that do nothing to the story.

- Move the story along. If you're apart of the DA and everyone is trapped in dungeon for the past 2 pages, change the story so that you are rescued or someone finds a way out. An RP that never moves turns into a Dead RP.

- Catch up and re-read pages that you missed since the last time you were on. This will keep in you focus on what is going on.

Use * , or :: around the sentence when posting an action.

Example:
* Professor Rogue drew out his wand *
or
::Professor Rogue drew out his wand::


When talking to someone make sure you say their name. (so many posts have been confusing) Try to post in quotes too.

Example:
"Harry! What should we do?"


If your talking to multiple people, don't put anything, or if you are having a continuos convo with someone, you don't have to either.


Always use descriptive actions. Post in 3rd person.

Example:
*Professor Rogue walks quickly over to Whiteflame and helps him up slowly. He then puts Whiteflame's arm around his shoulder and slowly walks him up to the castle*

NOT this:
* I get up and help him up to the castle


~ When role-playing, be as realistic as possible. Handle the RPG as you would in real life, other than the fact that magic is used. Be serious about it. You can still use your imagination and be creative.

~ Be patient. With members from all over the world, people will be on at various times. Be patient with their replies and do not double post.
