Title: Who likes Ginny?!
Description: Thread for Ginny lovers

hgshipper - February 9, 2006 09:53 AM (GMT)
Ginny is my favourite character in Harry Potter. She shouldbe with Harry again, I think. Who else here likes Ginny?

angelsflame265 - February 11, 2006 01:42 AM (GMT)
She's cool. :)

My only problem with her she seemed out of the book so much and then BAM! She's pretty and popular, and powerful.

Well, maybe it wasn't bam, but it was pretty quick transition. At least to me it was.

Shonk Da 'Onk - February 11, 2006 05:25 AM (GMT)
Not really....if you really look out for her in the books she has been brought in to be popular and that quite gradually. :)

Professor Rogue - February 11, 2006 06:45 AM (GMT)
She's okay with me too. I'd have to agree about the BAM idea. To me, Ginny was like a minor character but a little bit more than that because she was Ron's sister and the Trio of course, are always front and center. Earlier she was goo goo for Harry, that kind of died down and we saw her every now and then. Like Seamus and the rest of the gang. Now she's popular, she's smart mouth, she's all of these and I was left with.....what? No big deal but I noted the character change, or if it wasn't character change, I just didn't see it. Ginny was always shy and suddenly, she was this huge strong willed character.

Shonk Da 'Onk - February 11, 2006 06:50 AM (GMT)
Ginny was never really shy...she was just incredibly nervous around Harry until she had that talk with Hermione then decided to try to get over him.

You don;'t really relize it until now but Ginny does slowly start popping up a bit more through out the books. In #2 & 3 she comes across as being very clumsy and such due ti the OMGZ Harry Potter syndrome she seemed to have then in #4 she starts talking to him a bit normally and in 5 she really starts to show her true colours ^_^

i dont really like her.

Shonk Da 'Onk - February 11, 2006 11:18 PM (GMT)
Fine by me...:)

She doesn't really bother me. She is just a random character to my crazy mind.

i dont really like her.

Why don't you like her Kristi? Could you explain a bit more, I'd love to hear your reason!

But yeah, Ginny seemed to go through a Gimme Harry Phase or something, she was this little girl who was all shy and such around Harry. I don't think I saw her enough to really see the debts of her character, but in Half Blood Prince, Ginny really came out as this all of a sudden strong character.... a bit too strong.

Shonk Da 'Onk - February 11, 2006 11:31 PM (GMT)
She is crazy  In OotP we kinda saw wat she really acts like and such and in HBP we saw...the really flirty Ginny. At least she isn't as bad as Ron w. Lavendar though.

AGREE SO MUCH Shonk took the words right out of my mouth :P But I like the new Ginny A LOT...Harry & Ginny Shipperz  RULZ!!! Ok just had to say that!!!! ^_^

ChaserG456 - April 4, 2006 10:24 PM (GMT)
Well Ginny is my favorite character. She's just a lot like me in the fifth book. Brave, smart-mouth, strong, quick-tempered, and she's a chaser on the Quidditch team and chaser is what I would be-look at my username! But I do agree, back a few years ago someone told me I was like Ginny and I'm just, "Nuh-uh. Not gonna happen!" Because she was crazy with Harry and all. And I would like to point out that Hermione never said to get over him she said to try to tone it down and try to relax and then Harry would probably like her-that worked huh? And techanacally Neville and Luna do POP up too.

I am so for Harry and Ginny to get back together. Everyone says she just pops out all of a sudden as pretty and popular, well, when you turn 13 or 14 then teenagers usually do realize hey I am old enough to date and wear makeup and all that growing up stuff. She wasn't going to come out and be a outspoken character in her first years everything is still new to her and she is probably still intimadated by the older students. Now that she is in the middle she has more self asteam and has grown into a young lady. I totally can understand why she would all of a sudden come up with a BAM! She is getting to where she is the older one and not as nervous because there aren't as many people to be intimidated by, plus boys are really starting to notice her. Well, that is my opinion. lol

Ginny's okay. I do agree with angelsflame that it was a pretty quick transition for her to go from being little quiet Ginny to popular Harry Potter's girlfriend.

I think she's ok. I compleatly agree with Shonk for all the rest.

gammot - July 21, 2007 03:05 AM (GMT)
I think that she will be really good in book 7 ((which is coming out tonight at midnight where I live CAN'T WAIT)) I really like her in all the books but especially in 6 just because of how all of a sudden she's confident and all that stuff, even if it was quick to come for her, I think that it may just be that she's supposed to become really popular for some reason that will be reavealed in DH... But I'm just kind of fantisizing and making up stuff without really having any way to say it... I must be really confusing huh?

I think in the first couple books she came across as a very cute, sweet, innocent character. But then she sort of all of a sudden she's really popular and everything. For me, her transition from nobody to somebody was a bit to quick. I think it could have been a little more gradual.
