Some people are more creative than others. But we're all working on it! This is the place to seek help when you're in an RPG and don't know what needs to happen next. Or perhaps you're not sure what your specific character should do in a given situation. Here is where we can all help you on that.

To keep things organized, make sure you tell us as much detail as possible about your problem.

- Have you started role playing and dont' know what should happen next?
- Are you having problems starting off the RPG?
- What job does your character have?
- What is going on in the RPG right now?
- What do you think should happen next?
- How can you put more into your posts and scenes?
- Aren't sure of where to take your character?
- Would you like an exciting plot for your character?

Hopefully, we can all brainstorm and help you out. :tongue:

Well it's for anyone, meaning anyone can help. If you want your character to change somehow but not sure how, post here so we can help. I helped Ormand with this and it worked out perfectly.

Also, if you an idea for an RPG you want to start, but not sure how to work it, or if would be intersting, post here as well. If there is an RPG already started but is boring right now, you're not sure what should happen next, post here. Those are just a couple of ideas.

RPG stands for Role Playing Game, that's something that we do here along wtih talking about the Harry Potter characters, books, etc. Check out the RPG Boot Camp to learn how to role play. But you do this on boards like the Study Hall which are Magical classes, The Owlery, the Boys and Girls Bathroom, etc. You post a character bio so that everyone will be able to read what your character is like (who your parents are, what your personality it like, etc.)

For example, my character bio is located here. When you role play around the boards, you post as that character. It's really fun because we're all students at "hogwarts" and we go on little adventures and things like that. Does this make sense?

Plotting is very important and you can have a lot of fun having a really fun plot. Sometimes very sucessful RPG's take planning and this is the place to do so. Just make a request and I will get back to you either in this thread or via PM. Please specify how you want your reply.

But if it's on a thread, or specific RPG already in process tell me what's going on now and we can figure out something to happen next.

If you'd like to plot your character, I will read your character bio. But you need to tell me what you would like for your character? To beome bad? To face a serious problem? To overcome a fear? Whatever it is, give me as much info as you like so we can figure something out.

It never hurts to try and I think you'll be surprise at how exciting and very interesting this can be! If you have questions, ask 'em!

Hmmm...My character...My character is a Slytherin at heart,but a Hufflepuff in body (which is actually wrong according to a quiz i took)
My character is slightly evil,and enjoys popping up randomly and causing havoc.As can be seen with Shonk and her evil plans.Ive also recently stolen Dalejin's bag...

From what I know about you, your character is a prankster. Can be serious when things get tough but is mostly fun and games, stuff like that. Let's say your character is bored and wants to start some trouble to get things picked up. You go to the boys bathroom and cause stir things up there. So you've magically booby-trapped the bathroom so that balloons of water (or some other substance) will fall down on the people who come inside. Great laughs for you right! So people start to come in, you tap your wand (because you're hidden somewhere in the bathroom) and the balloons fall down hitting them. You're laughing your tail off, only someone slips on the liquid and falls flat on their backs, hitting there head. They aren't moving! Things turn serious and this students is taken to the Hospital Wing. So now your character has a lot of guilt weighing on her shoulders. Does she come clean and admit what she did was wrong? You decide, but from what I know about you, your character would NOT do this immediatly. She would stall, visit the person in the hospital wing . .. and then maybe admit the truth.

So just in this the boards you can use are:
The Owlery
Boys Bathroom
Hosptial Wing
Rogue's Office (for when you confess the truth: optional)

If you like this plot Sardine and want to iron things out, lemme know! If you'd like to make changes, feel free! But here's how you can start with this plot if you'd like:

1. Use the Owlery and create a thread in which you write a letter, telling everyone that there is a party going on in the boy's bathroom, the first one there gets a special surprise! Sign in, anonymous. (You can role play your character writing it, then maybe put the actual letter in italics)

Go to the Sorting Hat forum, click on the link that says Character Biography. Once you are in that forum, you can start a new thread. Title it your name and go rom there. Feel free to look at some older members bios that have been approved for examples. :)

That all depends. Could be a day, could be a month, could be longer. :P There's a lot that need to be approved and we do what we can. Remy and Shonk can also approve them as well. If for some reason you havent been approved by the time you have 70 posts and need your bio to be approved for an Animagus/Anwa/Elementalist power, then you can send one of us an OWL and ask us to take a look. It shouldn't take that long though, unless you're a super fast poster like some of us. LOL.
