i watched it, and thought it was good, but not the best. but not on the actor's part. i thought that the director cut way too much out, and should have kept in some more. for petes sake, they didn't even put dobby or winky in there. and because of that, they didn't have SPEW, and because of that, hermione looked like a girl in love the whole time. she didn't fight with them over SPEW, she didn't make SPEW buttons, she didn't do anything the whole movie.
they cut out a lot of stuff, important stuff, and they tried cramming a four hour movie into 2 1/2 hours. not good.
harry barely went to the library in this movie. is this not the one where he spends most of his time studying and crap in there? blah. i can't believe they didn't put the ELVES in!!!

it would have been good except what they cut out and I mean they make these extra scenes and then cut out SPEWwhich helps later in the future, Rita Skeeter beeing an unregistered animagi which helps A LOT, and Harry giving Fred and George the money from the competition I mean did they read the fifth and sixth book? otherwise it woulod have been good!

I like it, too! But not as much as part 1 and part 2. They skipped a few parts, though.

All righty, trying to generate some discussion here. I just saw the movie for the first time today. Yes, a little late I know but nevertheless. . .
I thought it was good! It's been 2 years since I last read the book, so it really generated some memories. I found myself constantly going, "That didn't happen in the book" and stuff like that.
I don't think I like the guy who plays Dumbledore that much. I was trying to figure out what it was about him that irked me so much and then a friend told me, he's cold. When Harry's name was thrown out of the Goblet, he ran up to Harry and in an angry voice asked him if he put his name in. I thought that this was completly out of character of Dumbledore. DD is nice and even when he's upset, he chooses to express that in a sort of nice way. The tone of Movie DD's voice and everything else was just totally offf for me.

I didnt like PoA,and GoF made up for it,despite the fact that they couldve added at least another 45min to it.
The new Dumbledore sucks.A few years ago,I watched an interview with him,and he said he didnt think people would notice that there's been a change in Dumbledore's.Ha!He wishes! This new DD is way too thin and abrupt. The old DD had a slow, claming voice, the new is just...Blah.

Yes this is true....The new Dumbledore will not compare whit the last...He sucks!Down new dumbledore!!

Down new Dumbledore-that-isnt-actually-so-new-anymore!!! I even tried making a banner in Memory of Richard Harris.Didnt work out so well though, hence me not posting it here.

My only thoughts are: He wishes.
He's nothing like the real Dumbledore, and that's why I wasnt fond of PoA.GoF he he was ok in,but not near great. So, add a Dumbledore that isnt Richard Harris, then add a Daniel Radcliffe with a stupid haircut, and you get OotP...

I really think that although the movie was indeed good, they did the book an injustice. They needed to make the movie longer and put more in than just the tasks. There should have been Harry's relatives on Privet Drive, the tongue ton toffee, some scenes in the library would have been helpful, more than just what they showed in the movie. There should have been the house elves, and more of the World cup, and they needed to introduce Bagman in this movie also and the goblins. They really needed to show something of Harry in Hogsmead and the cave where Sirius was hiding out with Buckbeak, and of Dumbledore's office when Harry finds out who really put his name into the GOF, after the confrontation with Barty Jr. But overall, I liked the movie, I notice that as the movies progress they get darker in content, and more serious. I am glad they aren't dummying down the overall plot, and are growing as the characters grow.

I think they should have gotten someone like Ian Mckellan to play Dumbledore. But I think that McKellan would have probably turned them down. I wish they could have found someone better to play Dumbledore though. This newer one isn't very good, and who does he think he is kidding with that phoney Irish accent, his acting isn't very good either. In the books, Dumbledore is always calm and collected, even when others are shouting and going overboard. I would never imagine Dumbledore acting the way they had him act in GOF.

yeah.. that's right the movie is really different from the book, just like in the third movie which has gone too far from the book....
and the new Dumbledore is really different from the old Dumbledore... :(
