I like Green Day but I haven't heard them much and the songs I've listened to I didn't really connect. Avril Lavigne's (I know I didn't spell that right)songs are very well written and thought out. Plus she's one of my favorite singers. She's my inspiration too! But if she changes to glam I'm boycotting her!

Im still a HUGE Avril fan!Im pretty miffed about her getting married->I think it might just ruin her music career...Anyway,she's still the best!

How can you even compare the two of them? Green Day is a band, they are far different from Avril Lavigne who use to have good songs, now she has horrible taste. Just tell me how you propose to compare them :P

Ive compared them for a while.Green Day is a band,Avril is an excellent singer and guitarist.
This encagement to Deryck Whatshisname has changed her,and it's not for the better!

but they have no relation so it's hard to compare them.

And Sardine I knew she had a boyfriend named Deryick but i didn't know they were getting married!!! shoot that stinks...oh well I just hope it don't change her music..I cant really tell since i havent been keeping up with her and her boyfriend :P

it's is hard to compare sorta because it's true but htis is more like a who do you like better and why? yeah I know! I didn't want her to change! I still rmemeber my favorite songs form her:

Of-course the reason I like those is because I can relate to them but yeah...

Green Day are better by far. They have been around for longer have better music and are definately better looking then Avril :P

Don't get me wrong . . . I like Avril but meh . . . she is kinda lyk a lot of other people I listen too while Green Day have a lot of songs that are so random that they can't really be compared to anything else because they are weird.

Green day is so much better, especially if we're talking their old school stuff. They have gotten worse in recent years, with the whole punk rock thing, but they're still really good, if a bit emo at times.

I can't stand Avril's new cd.. and that one song! "Hey hey you you" that girlfriend thing. Blah.
I like Green Day more. But with them you'll find that nearly every song has very simlar guitar work. They use the same chords over and ver again.

I listened to the whole of her new CD, and I found that some songs relate to me, The rest just suck "Hey, hey, You, you, I don't like your girlfriend".
Unfortunately, you can't not sing along to Avril Lavigne. Maybe it's a curse?! :o

Blv Broken Dream by Green Day is the best song in the world. There are three songs in the world that could keep any rocker going for the rest of his/her life: Broken Dreams by Green Day, Iris by Goo Goo Dolls and Where did you sleep last night by Nirvana. Or maybe that's just me... eh-he. Green Day ownz. =]

Right now, well, I havent listened to Green Day for a while.

I really don't mind if it's a match between Green Day and Avril's old stuff, but if it's with her new stuff included, Green Day gets my vote.
