Release Date: June 3, 2005
I've seen this gem on DVD twice now, and I must say, while I'm not a fan of boxing, this is by far one of the greatest movies I have seen about hope and determination in the middle of seemingly unending strife. Despite the sport depicted, this has become, by far, one of my all-time favorite films.
And, yes, it's based on the true-life story of James Braddock. Highly recommended!
