This is a general question thread. If you have a Helena question (related to gameplay only for DOA3, unless stated otherwise), then post it here, and myself, or one of the many skilled players on here will do their best to answer it.

Should I be aggressive or defensive when I fight Helena?

She's very sneaky with her moves so I don't want to get caught in a string that takes most of my life away.

This is probably not up to me to say this but aggressive might be better, I always play as Helena and I need to find my swing. If I don't get the time to attack my opponent walkes all over me because Helena can be a bit slow at times. I'm not sure if this goes for the com Helena as well.

Honestly, Helena's options when on the defensive aren't all that great. She can't punish a blocked attack with a 35% damage chain throw. Her counters are normal at best. She can get a lucky Bokuho tech crouch in every once in a while, but its risky. So if you're playing against Helena, i think agressive is the way to go, only to overpower her agressivness, which is where she stands out.
