Title: Killer Combos.....

AshCrimson - May 15, 2004 06:03 PM (GMT)
well dudes... this thread is supposed to be about different tactics or combos you have just came up by yourself..... so lets start w/ me..

=====================================================

Game: (DOA3)

ok its not totally Killer cuz it requires proper timing and luck... so lets start w/ my favorite walking battle TANK "Tina"!!! (*)does about 50-80% damage (based on a large lifebar so around 150~180pts of damage).. so here we go.. GAME STATO!

bK, ffP, P, P, F+P, (follow)dF+P, dP, (and after 3~5 frames) bfF+P, ddF+P(*)...... and if he bounces off wall you can lay the smackdown on him w/ any move you like ;) and pray he fall over lying down not in his back against the wall so that you can pick his @ss up again and do the hole thing again!!!!

or the shorter version.. ... whenever you successfully countered ur opponent.... just start from dF+P and then go on... or after a successful chain throw.. u can squeeze these if you could still reach your opponent in time.... providing the finisher of the chain throw does not send ur opponent miles away :P....

there is 70% success rate of these on Human opponents... and they always CRY foul whenever i do this to them... XD..

but on the CPU... the success rate on normal is 85% and hard is 30%... why.. because in hard ai can get up quickly after being dF+Ped..... human opponets can not react that quickly... even if they jam on the "F" button for quick get up....

I have a ten hit combo with Helena witch is quite effective especially when your enemy is slamed against something. I must look up the name of the move if you want an explanation of how I do it.

AshCrimson - May 15, 2004 07:31 PM (GMT)
button commands will do... i too am not familiar with the moves' names.... the only move name i remember from Tina is the J.O.S., Diamond Cutter and Shining Wizard... since im a WWE fan i can easily remember this stuff..... other than that... well i dont remember really......

well here goes for Christie, my second fave... but the damage is so POOR.... but hey.. those educated hands and legs makes up fot the damage ;).....

ufK, PPdP, PPPP......

First you start with the Uryu-Banda ( the windmill attack ) 3 hit combo followed by renken-kiyaku Another 3 hit combo and finally the Sensho-hiki kyaku, that is a four hit combo. When performed near a wall it will do even more damage. But beware that in some situations your enemy will fall back after the first 3 hit combo, I think is has somthing to do with the stage. And also keep in mind that wen you are to close to a wall the first wave will nock your enemy against the wall, it's not as hard as it sounds. So one more time.

Uryu-Banda / Renken-kiyaku / Sensho-hiki kyaku

And one last thing, your enemy can counter you almost all the time but when performed correctly they don't know what's coming ;)

Ps : sorry I don't gave you the commands, I don't know how to make the arrows so you have to look it up in the command list.

good combo QH.... i too found a Helena one... this morning..

Note: Before doing this i suggest to turn your analog buttons off in the ctrl config menu...

enter the Bukuho stance...... do fK, bPKP, (you should return to regular stance) then PPK.....
its 7 hits strings... w/ 80pts damage....

from Leon (my second fave):

bP, (*)bP, F+P, run, dF+P

* = wait until 3~4 frames cuz if you do it immediately your opponent will fall...
3 hit strings (grabs not counted).... w/ 109pts damage... ouch!

fPP, bK, run, dF+P
3 hit strings..... w/ 89pts damage

well im not really a Kasumi player... but heres a decent damage
PPfP (renku rekuga -1P), ffP, d+f-d+fP, PPPK.......
9 hit strings.... w/ 92pts damage
if you do PPubK as a finisher it deals 86pts damage instead....

and finally Christie:
start with, fP+K, run, PPdPP, PPdKdK....
11 hit strings..... w/ a measly 82pts damage....... but heres the kicker..if you substitute PPdKdK to fPPPP it goes to 106 damage...

where:

P=punch, K=kick, f=forward, b=back

(More to come... ;) )

Wow, great combo's. I discoverd a 11 hit combo with Helena today, I have to look it up again, so you will hear from me soon

Just remember that these moves can be countered, so be very careful to execute them. And try not to get cocky.

AshCrimson - May 17, 2004 12:44 PM (GMT)
the only tricky part is the firs 2 hits... its hard to look for a hole fore the move not to be countered.... but if you successfully landed the first 2 then ur opponent is a sitting duck.... its a string juggle so there is no fear o it being countered in the middle of it... :)

11 hit combo with Helena. Again you start with the Uryu-banda a 3-hit combo then Ryoda-shoken another 3 hit combo followed by Shashu - Ki kyoku 1 hit combo you will enter the Bokuho stand again now you do the Sensho - niki - kyaku a 4 hit combo. Beware, the first wave will sometimes hit twice and not three times.

In the DOATEC HK stage I had a damage percentage of 167. My opponent crashed through the window hitting the sign before slaming against the ground !!

So again : Uryu-Banda / Ryoda-shoken / Shashu-ki kyoku / Sensho-niki-kyaku
