Not yet, still a concept.

That looks insane if it was real but thers nothing inside of it.....but that would be great.

Looks extremely fragile. Once you drop it, it breaks. Then thats another 400 bucks from your pocket for a new one.

agreed. but it seems there is a reason why:
| QUOTE (wiki) |
This phone is a showcase for nanotechnology's ability to bring flexible materials, transparent electronics, and self-cleaning surfaces to mobile devices. With nanotechnology, Morph can take on any shape the user desires.

Wikipedia - Nokia Morphbottom line: sounds like some
Jake 2.0 type stuff to me.

It's not fragile, technically. The idea is that it will bend, and flex. Thus, it shouldn't break, unless you are very destructive. Like L33t.

i get the flimsiness-masks-durability-from-nanites thing (as many sci-fi shows i seen with nanite enemies, i know it all too well...)
but still... a morphing nanotech phone is just years away. at least a decade is gonna pass before this hits the planning table.
besides, nanotech is gonna end up being used for hospitals and do cool stuff like remove cancer with nano-lasers. or repair organs with nano-'bob the builders' (can we fix it?). or eat fat (oh shit, i just came up with an idea to end america's obesity problem! MY IDEA!!! MINE! >.<; ITS MY NOBEL!)

Lol, just because it looks a certain way in movies doesn't mean it's gonna be that way in RL, my friend.
Koi Kitsune2006 - March 11, 2008 04:19 AM (GMT)
Looks like next gen toilet paper to me.

you say that now, but:
- when the replicators rise up, make nanobot made copies of us, and kill us all;
- when they turn on us a la the matrix;
- assimilate us and make us say (in a droning tone) "one of us, one of us, one of us, etc."
people are gonna be sorry.
brb, i need to get a shotgun. and lots of shells.
LOTS of shells.

Ewkay, This place is getting weirder and weirder. We got one guy afraid that new technology is gonna rise up and kill us. The other things it's toilet paper. What the HECK has been going on here?! Do we have some hidden stash of crack?!
...............
Well, L33t was always nuts, I guess.
