I just got ninja gaiden this afternoon and I'm on chapter 1. I can't beat the first boss with the nunchks (yet).
I read the manual but it doesnt' tell me how to save the game. How do I save in NG so that I don't have to play the chapter all over again???

Around the game you will find statues with the heads of Dragons on them. Walk up to it and press X, you'll be able to save that way.
Were you able to find the save points?
Just in case you don't see any now, the first is in the corner by the steps. After that they'll be in more obvious locations.
