after very close examination i have come to the conclusion that the 360 looks slightly better overall..

ill start with this image, they both look the same in terms of what is onscreen, but the 360 version has a slightly different, more reddish tone

in this scene, the only noticeable difference (somewhat) that i could see was the water on the 360 version looked a bit sharper, screens will tell you nothing tho, look at the video

this next screen shows the 360 version seems to have slightly better AA, if you look at the edges on his gun, they appear slightly more jagged on the ps3, but more noticeable is how some of the textures on the 360 version look better, look at his hoodie

One way the PS3 version did look better was the ice on the monsters, it looked better lit...

this scene in particular i found very interesting because on the ps3 side i noticed some studdering while the 360 side remained smooth...ummm...interesting (see it yourself, download the HD video and look in this very scene (between 02:20 and 02:25) also, texturing looks better on the 360 side, could just be in that section of the ground tho, certainly isnt any BIG difference.

everything else looked identical between the two

in terms of Value, ON PS3 you aparently need to install part of the game onto the harddrive and it takes around 20-30 minutes, it's not done on the 360 but it would make the loading times on ps3 quicker, no word yet on how the loading times compare tho, from what ive seen its pretty quick.
360 version has Rumble ofcourse as it's standard and Achivements. If youre a long time DMC fan youll probably feel more comfortable with the Dual Shock 3/SIXAXIS
in the end, this comparison doesnt tell me the whole truth, but right now it's all there is to go on

both versions need a rapid-fire control pad...otherwise we'll suffer from early arthritis.

on-topic:
with so much crammed into dmc4, the only way to really notice the differences would be to watch someone else play. i'd prefer the ps3 iteration as i've played the first 3 on the ps2. x360 gets a nod mainly for the acheivements portion.

aside from these two (imo), it's a personal preference on the two.
as of this post, i'm still undecided on which version to purchase.
