hi everyone
i was flipping through my channels and i saw on comedy central's "roast of flavor flav"

from the looks of it, it was basically several famous people insulting flavor flav in front him while he is laughing (pretending?)
all of the words were severely insulting (at least imo) and it looked like he was hurt even though he was laughing. so my question is, is this normal? is this entertainment to americans? the other featured famous people were insulted as well and they definetly didn't look happy, but everyone was laughing.

what is comedy central's roast of about? i'm curious
