Doa4 came out on top in this battle but I stiil like VF alot but when compared to DOA it's a no go.... :kas:

just asking so i'll know which direction to go about my debate.

when it comes to gameplay, for the true fighting game fans, VF wins in that category because everyone knows VF is the deepest fighter..period...

in every other category tho, i go with DOA..for me personally, Overall DOA wins handsdown...

i currently don't have a favorite between the two. both are equally good in their respective categories.

I'll talk more later but he's alittle bit of what I'd say!

Dead or Alive 4 Virtua Fighter 5


Characters 65.5% 34.5% Both DOA and VF has some very interesting characters but since I've been playing DOA so much more I became to like tha fighters yards more than VF but this is kinda like a disadvantage cause I only played VF 3, VF4, and VF Evo on and a very little VF 1-2 at tha arcade so once I get VF5 I'll have a more definite answer to compare them in an equal battle.


Fighting 35.6% 64.4% Wow, I don't know if I should rate this off which fighting system I like better or which is tha more in-depth fighter. Well I'll just put it like this, I like DOA's fighting as of now alot better although I'm more skilled at VF and I also know that VF has tha more superior fighting engine so that definitely goes VF plus it's very balanced and you can basically pick up almost any character and win if you know what you're doing but DOA is alot more stricker when it comes to tha low tier characters cause Ryu Hayabusa is billions of years better than Brad Wrong, but Brad Burns can topple wins on Kage, PROVEN!


Stages 24.5% 75.4% Now DOA has some awesome stages but I can't help to feel like there should have been more, plus there's only a handful of em to begin with, but don't get me wrong, DOA has some gorgeous stages but so does VF but in a more versatile way. DOA has the slope falls and what not but VF delievers more in stages with x2 of what DOA has plus tha beautyof what VF5 stages bring so although I love me some DOA satges, VF takes that cake and runs with it none stop!


Modes 73.4% 26.5% VF5 has some very nice modes like Quest, VF TV, and Pratice, but see DOA4 has a Story mode, Tag, Sparring, and Online mode which sweeps VF5 off it's feet but VF "RAPES" DOA when it comes to it's Practice mode. Now I didn't text down all tha modes for each game cause I'd rather just select tha main few. VF could have won this if it had 2 extra modes, one ofcourse being online play reguardless if the frames would be effected cause we still have that choice to play on or offline and plus it'll be good to play some of you guys in it huh...so yeah anywho DOA4 has this one!


Graphics 40.0% 60.0% This was a hard one but considering DOA is almost a lunch title and VF just not hit stores this year it was kinda sad to but a lunch window game against a game that came like a year and some later, but no excuses VF wins this by adding the smaller details that Itagaki didn't like certain hair strands, scars, clothing rips, and etc but DOA is a pure beast in tha Graphics department with it's overly sex women and their breast physics, "cough" plus their clothing is also a friggin beast but if I could add DOAX2 clothing style then it'll give VF5 a run for it's money but that's not tha case here. So let's put it like this, whatever DOA has in Graphics VF5 slighty beats it in each catagory, yeah even tha Stages!


Presentation 57.2% 42.7% Well ths was hard and easy, hard because I liked VF characters intros and win taunts alot better than DOA's but tha problem is that I also like DOA intros, win taunts, and even their sometimes whacky Story Endings but there's more to tha Characters in DOA than VF so DOA win hands pinned down!


Overall 55.5% 44.5% It's a really hard war because I didn't get enough play time on VF5 but I still can safely say that I will always love DOA more than VF reguardless of tha out come so this was a close battle but DOA Ninpo it's way to tha top! :kas:


SO YEAH GUYS SOME OF THIS IS PROVEN IF YOU'RE A GAMER AND ARE INTO THA FIGHTING GENRE BUT MOST IS MY OPINION SO RESPECT THAT AS I WILL RESPECT YOURS. US HUMANS REASON AND SEE THINGS IN A DIFFERENT FORM AND THIS IS WHAT I DID SO YEAH HERE GOES ARNELL'S MINI REVIEW OF DOA4 VS VF5! :bow:

Ahem. I have always liked DoA more simply because it seems more like actuall martial arts. VF is all about learning intricate combos and all of that, and martial arts simply isn't that. But, as far as quality goes, VF is a top-notch game, up there with the classics. Plus, it has no...."physics", so it gets a big plus there.

so there is no tier list in VF5? that's pretty darn cool
