Title: Spiderman 3
Description: Have you seen it?

Dark kunoichi - May 4, 2007 10:36 PM (GMT)
I went to the cinema today and watched Spiderman 3...absolutely amazing!!  I liked it very much. I didn't expect it would be so great, but I'm surprised. The special effects are simply brilliant and it's a very exciting movie.

The only thing I didn't like too much was that they spent a lot of time showing the "bad Peter Parker", like when he does all that stupids things like dancing in the middle of the street or in the jazz club lol! But it was funny anyway ^^

In conclusion, it's an amazing movie much more better than the other parts, starting with the effects like the sand or the action parts. I really liked it! ^-^

A VERY NICE MOVIE ALTHOUGH ALOT OF ELEMENTS FROM THA COMICS WERE CHANGED BUT I MUST ADMIT THAT THEY STILL HAD ME GOING WITH THA EXCELLENT APROACH, I THINK THIS MOVIE WAS REALLY NICE ALTHOUGH VENOM SHOULDA BEEN STRONGER THAN WHAT THEY HAD HIM IN THA MOVIE BUT THEY HAD SOOOO MUCH TO CONSENTRATE ON I UNDERSTAND WHY THEY COULDN'T JUST FOCUS ON ONE CHARACTER. FOR A MOVIE TO FOCUS ON MULTIPLE STORY PLOTS SPIDER-MAN 3 HOLDS UP TO THAT AND DELIVERS LIKE NO TOMORROW! SO FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVEN'T SEEN SPIDEY 3 YET NEEDS TO GO AND SEE IT CAUSE IT'S A MOVIE THAT SHALL PLEASE ALL WHO LIKE SUPERHEROS OR MOVIES ALIKE AND IT HAS MAJOR DRAMA, COOL ACTION, PRETTY FUNNY EVENTS, AND MORE SO GUYS AND GIRLS WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!? IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN SPIDER-MAN 3 ALREADY THEN GO AHEAD AND CHECK IT OUT ASAP...8 OUT OF 10!!

Dan - May 5, 2007 02:34 AM (GMT)

I would give it a 3/5

SPOILERS!
I liked it, would look great in I max, peter as black spidy was too short and and we never really get to "know him"

They messed up venom big time hopefully when and if venom does return, some big dude will be his host, and when he died, made no sense since harry got pumpkin ed in the face swell but he is alive. If they shaved off venom and the last 20 minutes it would have been much, much better since we would want to know want happened with venom.

Sandman could have taken this whole movie as whole if they devolved his character, we barely understood the deal with him and his doughtier and the guy barley spoke, he looks like a fun villain in upcoming spidy movies but in this one he was s mediocre.

Harry and sandman could both been in this movie but venom ruined it kinda, he became goblin way to quickly and for some reason his experiment works but he never really seemed menacing and evil like the goblin in the first one, his outfit i never really liked but meh. I enjoyed his death, it was significant in a way it ws much like his dads.

Gwen Stacey, well she was there for eye candy and I guess they needed someone the comics the fan boys would know but her character was underdeveloped

MJ, she sings, and when she and peter attempt to cry at the same time, GOD that was painfully, she seemed to depressed and she could have gotten over it if peter was not full of himself, also when she got slapped, the crowd reacted in the biggest gasp ever!

Peter, well what i enjoyed from the first two was how he was in the bugle, he was funny nice and was never cocky but in this one, whenever he was around MJ he always had to make things about her about him, it was to forced to be enjoyed, When he was black spidy he was not that...bad, he was just annoying and the montage about him picking up girls could have been burnt! I wished there were more scenes of him as black spidy taking down petty thefts. Also he seemed way to emotional

Bugle, liked the kissed the sec but we barely see anything from the bugle except from the begining which i liked but that thing dragged. I always loved that part in the first two

EVERYTHING ELSE I LOVED! wub.gif

OMG, yes there were too many stars that appeared, and reappeared in like one scene and not giving the important and new characters enouhg screen time and focusing on peter(not spidy) and MJ was bad.

blueboy - May 16, 2007 08:34 PM (GMT)
ok, saw the movie's final showing last night after work.

i'll start off by saying this was a good film.....for kids, family and friends to see in general. "parade pete" (funny), "rebel pete" (hilarious) and the "trio" (pete, mj and amnesic harry) segments were great. i think these were the higlights of the film overall, giving this a notch up from the peter segments of spidey 2 (imo).

now with that said and done, please don't bash me for what's said below this sentence. also their may be possible spoilers, so read at your own risk....

personally as a long time spidey fan, this movie was dissapointing....very dissapointing. i felt empty after seeing this for numerous reasons, mostly being way too much cramed in this installment, a bit of continuity issues and a really lackluster ending, which brought this film down moreso than ever.

characters:
peter/spidey - peter's segments really shined in this film while his alter ego lacked in this one. i don't even know where to begin on "where in the hell did the spidey-sense" go. it wasn't present in the movie...period.
*spidey was weak in this installment.

mj - a bit too emotional here. her character seemed to jump from one spot to the next just to state some form of "tie in" to parker/spidey/dark spidey an whomever else that was in screen. she's been known (comics) to to be more headstrong than her onscreen counterpart, so something was lost in translation.....again.
*mj just seemed lost entirely in this film.

harry - worked in the beginning segment, then kinda fell apart afterwards. his "amnesic portion" was good yet became oveshadowed by the resurgence of his alter-ego.....only to side/forgive spidey/parker in the end by a paragraph from his butler.
*good begining....overall execution was lacking.

sandman - a cool supervillan with a lack of an origin. as dan stated, he could've been the "it" villan for this one. one and two benefited greatly from a "solo villan", and here would've worked just as well. his tie-in to parker worked, but we all know that's not how it happend.
*sandman needed more in-depth.

gwen - had entirely no role to play in this movie (yet she was fawkkin hawt!). knowing that there's another trilogy in the works from sony pictures, gwen should've been mj....period. she'd be perfect as parker's love interest, with mj following within the next set of trilogies. as she was present here, the chemistry with mj just didn't hold up.
*gwen for the first three, mj for the second three.

eddie/venom - i can't even begin to wonder how anyone could mess up spidey's opposite. venom really didn't fit here at all. venom is possibly spidey's greatest nemesis, thus should've been saved for the final installment of the movie series. the focus on the symbiote, black spidey and brock/venom could've had much more of a back story...giving the viewers an interest for these characters.
*poor venom, they messed up big time.

aunt may - the only consistent character from all three films. no complaints here.

jj jameson - another funny character who only received 15+min of fame. it would've been nice to have a bit more interaction from him, but oh well....

ok, this should be enough of a rant. my final ratings are:

presentation: B-
effects/cg elements: A+
story: C-
overall: C

this is an okay film regardless of (personally speaking), but it won't top the sequal and comparing this to the original is just out of the question.

i kno, but this whole "4, 5 and 6" trilogy made me warrant having gwen as opposed to mj for the first three. the comics nerfed gwen regardless of having multiple "universes" and "what if...." storylines, and hollywood usually nerfs one or nearly all aspects of various franchises.....

hollywood could've changed that fact.....'cause they usually do this with everything else.

gwen ftw.

lol, i read this a while back. this is one reason why i stoped reading comics.....as i couldn't figure out what was the actual main story arc.

nowadays, i pick what i like an say "screw the rest."

an the gwen-thingy was for the 1st three spidey flicks. mj should've arrived between spidey 3 - 6 of the story arc.
