I have had my xbox ever since lounch of last year and my 360 worked for the motnh, I was glad. We didnt get the extended warrenty since we did not need it. And now, today, the first time iv played on gthe 360 for morte than 3 weeks. i get the 3 RINGS OF DEATH!

I called tech, the guy was stittering, nervous. I was pissed and angry. He toldme it would take 140 bucks for them to rapair it. He then tried tpo assure me that its half teh proce of the 360, less than half.

Still though, 3 months after outr warrenty was vouid, everything got lost!

Help me please :baby:

ouch. that happened to me, too. and yeah, the price of repairs is like a kick in the face.

maybe you'll get lucky and they'll re-extend the warrenty? i had to pay for repairs when my xbox broke but then i was refunded because ms had sort of randomly decided to extend the regular warrenties for all of the first run 360s, or something like that. i don't know if that still applies anymore though. :x

damn dan, so sorrie to hear. i believe the life span of your x360 is at its end. the deal tech support gave is actually better than having to buy a complete new system rite off the boot. hopefully, these new "refurb" systems have better processing components than what was found in the previous 1st wave consoles.

then again, i've never heard of a console that's had so frequent problems as the x360 and original x-box.

edit:

a friend of mine luckily was still within the extended waranty range, an thanks to him, that's how i finally got my x360 for $150 flat w all the perpherials of the premium package to boot.

i'm pretty sure they don't actually give you back your 360 refurbished, they just send you a whole new xbox. which is pretty nice except for the fact that if you're using the media sharing capability you have to re-sync everything. :o

and i believe it's the psx/ps2 that has the highest percentage of hardware failures, though the xbox ones appear to be talked about the most.

^Thumbnail that stuff dude.
Creepy, when I got the three rings, my warranty was also 3 months over.
Get it "repaired", which really just means their going to replace the xbox for a cheaper price than buying a new one, so its actually a good deal.
