Title: The Wii Launches in 17 Days
Serenity Now - November 2, 2006 07:00 AM (GMT)
I personally can't wait. Who here will be buying one and, if so, what's your launch day plan? I will probably purchase mine at Target like I did the 360 (waited ~12 hours in the cold). It all depends though on how the online pre-orders go. If there's a bundle below $350 I will probably just succumb to ordering at EBGames.com.

i can barely stand the wait!!! thus i have the perfect plan: i will freeze myself. i will freeze myself for 3 weeks till the Wii launches.
for those than never saw the latest episode of South Park, you know Cartman did this

I got one pre-ordered for Toys 'R Us a few weeks ago. Zelda is currently the only game I want. Not really hyped for anything else but I'm considering Trauma Center.

thats what im saying! Red steel will be the sh1t!!!!!!! or the sh1t that will be eclipsed by zelda but still give it credit for trying
when i buy a Wii, RS is what i want. besides, zelda copies will be hard to get, legally, so ima go with option B

From what I've heard/seen of Red Steel, it's shaping up to be average at best. The aspect of it I was excited about was the sword fighting but it seems instead of letting you slash freely, you have to do preset motions, and that kinda sucks the fun out it for me. Not to mention it looks really sloppy:

It's something I may pick up at a later date but I'm buying Resistence: Fall of Man and one FPS is about all I can handle for awhile. Now, if my PS3 pre-order gets canceled, Red Steel here I come :) .

So, I know the answer but...is Red Steel any good?
Mills McDougle - November 19, 2006 09:35 PM (GMT)
lol...
Actually, I heard it's a novelty kind of fun. It's a try, at least.

Waited outside for around ~10 hours last night for the Wii. I bought Zelda with it and will probably be buying a classic controller tomorrow.

You mean the Wii remote? It's mainly for new games. For the classic titles you can purchase via download, I'd prefer to use the classic controller they have for sale. Plus, it's pretty cheap for a controller nowadays at only 20 bones.
