Development on Ninja Gaiden Sigma is currently at just 25%. A Japanese release date has yet to be announced.


NG IS AT 25% COMPLETE IS WHAT THAT MEANS BUD, so that means TN were sneaking working on this game...I wonder what else they got up hidding from us...a DOA4 costume update....I wish :rofl: !

CALM DOWN NARU, it's just Ninja Gaiden 1 being remade that's all...there's people in this world who only wants or can afford one system so Itagaki is taking that into consideration and is helping the fans out on different consoles and Itagaki (DOA 2: Hardcore) worked on the PS before Xbox and also keep in mind that Ninja Gaiden 2 is coming to the Xbox 360 so you don't have to worry cause PS3 is only getting a good remake but not NG2, oh and on the other hand I'm getting all consoles so I can keep up with Team Ninja and their franchises plus there's a golf game for the Wii that will have DOA characters in it so I suggest everyone to save up anything they get to get more than one console even if it takes a very long time cause the Ninja Gaiden remake on the PS3 was unexpected so let's keep our eyes open guys and girls because Itagaki may suprise us again...like DOA Code Cronus or Project Progressive comin to the PS3! :rofl:

And I hear that Team Ninja won't be making it.

I'd rather have Ninja Gaiden 2 than a Ninja Gaiden remake cause both of these wasn't going to be on the 360 or at least at the moment so the one I'd choose is NG2 alothough I'm getting both. So let's face it that the fact that NINJA GAIDEN 1 is comin to Sony's PS3 and not the 360 as of now so go with the flow and let's stop saying it should come to the 360 cause it's not as far as Itagaki is concerned...not being mean but all I can say is get a PS3 cause you ain't getting the NG1 remake on the Xbox360 case closed (easier said than done, I know).

I think I read the same thing you did and it said that Itagaki wasnt working on it, he handed over the reigns to someone else from Team Ninja

Sorry for the double post but yeah it's a group of new talented people that Itagaki had for NG and he said it in a couple of his Interviews.

@ Arnell: I would rather have BOTH on Xbox360 then rather just Ninja Gaiden 2. Anyway this has made me really think about buying PS3 because there might be other awsome team ninja games that comes out for it so ill just have to eat water and live in the dark for 9 months and then I will have enough for it.

That looks unreal, it's insane how good it looks. If things go as I hope, maybe I'll be able to afford a PS3 no problem by the time this game comes out.

It looks like it takes Master Ninja on NGB and makes it look like preschool, and that's cool how Rachel is playable, but with that outfit of hers, I might find it distracting to play.

That motorcycle scene looks amazing, I wonder if Ryu will be able to ride them, the extra levels, lots of extra levels, new camera angles, superior graphics beyond anything any of us have seen, this looks like it's a completely new game, and as I said, if I'm doing what I hope by the time this game comes out, I'm buying a PS3.

Well, maybe it can wait abit for prices to fall, the game will probably have another edition too. I also notice after watching the trailer again, Rachel can be played with her hair up or down, I see they haven't quite perfected that yet, but it does look the best it ever has.

I know you rather have both on the Xbox 360 and I would to but the problem is that it's NOT so the main thing most people will have to worry about is getting the PS3 cause as of now the NG remake is NOT COMIN TO THE XBOX 360 so stop sayin you want it on the Xbox 360 cause it's not on it and try to save up your cash if you want to play that particular version of NG on the PS3, oh and I'm not tryin to be rude just tryin to get the message out that the NG remake will NOT be comin to XBOX 360 as of now so the PS3 is the way to go for Ninja Gaiden Sigma. ;)

It's that time of year again, folks. Time for the annual "Tokyo Game Show" from the land of the rising sun, Japan. If you haven't been up to date with the Tecmo side of things, we've got you covered.

First and foremost, the BIGGEST news out of the Team Ninja camp is, The announcement of a new (or upgraded) Ninja Gaiden title announced exclusively for the PS3, Dubbed: "Ninja Gaiden: Sigma" Be assured, though, that this is not a sequel to the original masterpiece. Prior to the TGS, Famitsu presented us with a few scans and info, which lead up to the anticipation of the first debut "Trailer" of the game. (Right click and save as). While details are a bit sketchy at the moment, here what is confirmed thus far:

This is considered the "complete edition" of Ninja Gaiden.
is playable.
A spring 2007 release date is currently projected.
New stages, battle engine will be improved and upgraded.
Graphics and direction is going for a major overhaul.
New weapons, dual katana wielding.
Itagaki isn't even at the helm of the project, and instead heading Sigma is Yousuke Hayashi. The 27-year-old rookie has been with Tecmo for five years and has worked closely with Itagaki on DOA projects, and was in charge of enemy AI for Ninja Gaiden. Yep, this is the guy that made sure the enemies in Ninja Gaiden were tough as nails.
"So is Team Ninja done with Xbox 360 development? Hardly. Itagaki explained to Game Informer Online that this PS3 team was hand picked to bring the Ninja Gaiden experience to a broader audience. He stated that he was still extremely dedicated to the Xbox 360 platform, and that any new projects from Team Ninja would be released on the Xbox 360. Does that mean Ninja Gaiden 2? We believe so..."
Lastly, in other Tecmo news, A new flashy and stunning CG DoAX2 Trailer was revealed at the show. (Right click and save as). Meanwhile, around the web, a few gameplay videos have surfaced.
