Title: Where were you 5 years ago.

As we all know today is Septemet the 11th and was curios what you were doing as you heard the news of the planes attacking the twin towers.
i was in fourth grade and we were finishing English when the janitor asked Mrs. jakobson to leave to class room, when she came back in she was disturbed and throughout the whole day she told us to go home and don't turn on the TV. Don't do anything, just go home and don't turn on the TV or radio. I was all happy and said sure, w/e and when i came home my bro was watching the news and it took me an hour to fully grasp what happened and to understand who, what and why this was happening, and the rest of the year, i was pissed at the teacher trying to prevent us from knowing this tragedy.

I was in 6th grade...for some reason, they figured the city I live in could possibly be kinda important enough to attack or something because EVERYBODY was evacuated. I was in school, my teacher left the room for 10 minutes and he had us all go outside...every student in the school was outside and the teacher asked us if we noticed that there weren't any planes in the air (our school was close to the airport actually) sure enough, there weren't. That entire day, I don't remember anything but having what happened explained to me and watching the news...

I was at school, talking to my friends, and when they let us know, all these girls went off crying in a corner, saying their distant aunt/cousin worked in Manhattan. I shrugged it off.
Then I went home and found out that my uncle was missing.
He died.
I was home crying, five years ago.
Ironically, I was the only one in my grade who lost anyone.
Oh, and I guess I'd appreciate if the media and all this hype about this anniversary would just disappear, because it's all a political statement, and the memory of all those lost are nothing more than a useful tool for a political agenda.
Thanks.

I was in 7th grade and one kid was absent that day which was odd cuz I knew his mom made go to school every day and never let him have a day off. Well the kid came into school around ten o'clock am, when we were having a break, he kapt sayin that planes hit the world trade centers but no one really payed attention to him or took it seriously. Then the teachers must have gotten word and started talkin to each other and looked like they were scared. Then they let everyone leave but I had to stay there cuz my mom was late, then I got home and watched it on the news and couldnt believe it.
Lets just say that when that kid came in late again, people listened this time

That's okay...honestly, I didn't know they existed >.<
New York wasn't really part of my small small view of the world at the time...
