Resturant. 2 years since, she got her job as a waitress, she havent seen or
socialized with Lei-Fang for a long time . Lei-Fang entered the DOA
tournament, she heard that rumor from her childhood friend Jann-Lee and
Lei-Fang's rival, Tina. She wanted to go but her manager can not allow her
to. She rejected her manager's wishes and leave work, so she can enter the
DOA Tournament.

I have chosen this character because this character of mine really fits in
the DOA story itself. Since she doesnt have much role in other stuff, I
decided to use her on this type of event.

Devika is one of the most wanted theifs in Asia. Along with her lover and companion Babur, they were invincible with their deadly art of Wushu. Babur decided that he was going to steal a mighty sword called the True Dragon Sword, and that was supposed to be his final mission. Several months passed without Devika hearing a word from Babur, it seems that the mission was a failure. Now she has taken the matter in her own hands. Her hope is that when she finds the sword, it will lead her to Babur. Devika enters DOA5 to track down the owner of the sword, Ryu Hayabusa.

Devika sneaks into a mansion at night and enter a luxurious bedroom. She spots a magnificent tiara on top of a pillow. Quietly Devika moves towards it. Confidently she whispers.

Devika: Diamonds are a girls best friend.

While focusing on the diamond her eyes slips over to small a stuffed tiger. Suddenly she gets a flashback.
Devika remembers when herself and Babur was taming tigers. The flashback ends and we hear her thoughts.

Devika: Babur...I have to find you Ryu.

A man storms through the door and screams.

Owner: Guards!

Devika grabs the tiara and make a run for it. She notice a huge glass window at the end of the room. Devika looks around for another exit, but in vain.

Devika: Im sick of this dear heavens!.

The moment the quote ends, she dives through the glass window, into the lake.

Christie is walking threw a giant Arabian marked. It looks like she is in a hurry. In her hand, Christie has a suitcase containing her sniper. Out of nowhere Devika covered in a cloak sneaks behind her. Devika grabs the suitcase and make a run for it. Christie runs after her into an alley, but it¡¯s a dead end. Devika is trapped and Christie is coming slowly towards her.

Christie: What a lousy theif.
Devika: Lousy theif?

Devika takes off her cloak.

Christie: You...

Flashback. Christie is making conversation with a jeweler at gallery Lumi¨¨re rouge. She pulls out her gun and points it at the jewelers head. Right before she pulls the trigger, she says coldheartedly.

Christie: Sayonara¡­

Christie runs to the main gallery to retrieve a diamond that was stolen from one of her employers. She spots Devika right beside the diamond. Christie steps into the light and start to talk.

Christie: Hand over the diamond and I will kill you quickly.
Devika: How pathetic...who are you trying to impress?
Christie: Little naive girl you have never tasted my poisonous fangs.

Christie strikes a pose.

Devika: Oh please...

They fight for a short period. Christie gets a hold of the diamond during the fight. Suddenly the alarm is sounded and Christie is confused. Devika kicks the diamond out of Christies hand. Glass gates starts to seal off the room while the diamond is still in the air. Devika jumps after the diamond and slides underneath a closing glass gate. She gets up and smiles at Christie. Christie gives Devika the evil look. Devika kisses the glass and flees.

The flashback ends and we return to the alley.

Christie: Don¡¯t you know you should never leave a snake in a cage.

Devika secretly infiltrate Ryu's hideout. She spots the sword on the wall and steals it. Suddenly Ryu comes into the room, but she is already hidden. He notice that the sword is gone. When he turns around Devika is holding the sword up against his throat.

Devika: Ryu..what a lovely sword you have.
Ryu: What are you doing...do you realize how much power the sword contains...only a real ninja can handle the blade.
Devika: I¡¯m sure I can handle it.

She pushes the sword further against his throat.

Devika: Where is Babur?!

Ryu strikes the blade so that Devika drops it. They fight a bit and then back away from eachother.

Ryu: His spirit is now pure once again.
Devika: What? What are you talking about?
Ryu: He was cursed. He was turned into a greater fiend.
Devika: A fiend...
Ryu: An evil being, destined to live forever.
Devika: Was there an antidote?
Ryu: The only cure is to kill them.
Devika: But that means...
Ryu: Sorry...

Ryu looks down on the ground.

Devika: No! You are lying!

Ryu just looks at her and the fight begins.

Character Background

Natascha was born in the city called Severomorsk in Russia. She lived with her father and mother. They both had top-positions in the Russian army. When Natascha was 9 years old her mom settled down from the army because of her coming baby. Those where the happiest days of Nataschas life.

The people of Russia were happy, and everything seemed so calm. But under the surface, there was a secret war going on between different political wills where also the Japanese government where involved.

Her well known father had great power in the army and could if he wanted to start a war against his opponents. But instead he wanted to negotiate with his rivals and hoped for a peaceful solution. But not all wanted to wait for a friendly ending.

At the 28th of November, two unknown men entered the family¡¯s house in Severomorsk. They where let in the house, even though he never had seen them before because they seemed to be from the same army as her father. But unfortunately they had different opinions about how he handled the situation in Russia. They killed her parents and the un-borne baby in front of Nataschas eyes when she was hiding in the cleaning-closet.

In the news paper you could read that three persons got murdered, but in fact, it was more like four. The person that Natascha had been did no longer exist. The time after the murder was like a thick fog for her. She moved from place to place but still she couldn¡¯t find any happiness. At first she was put in an orphanage. And after a while she got taken to a relative. For three years, she lived in a trailer-truck out in the fields with this man that she had never met or even heard about before. At the age of twelve she couldn¡¯t take more of being punched and abused so she escaped and ended up at the orphanage once again. But this time she didn¡¯t have to stay there for long. Her uncle who was an officer had contacted the orphanage and she moved to a military base in the old part of northern-east Russia.

At that point she felt like a new chapter had begun in her life. For the first time she had something to strive for and someone to look up to. She put up a goal - she wanted to be drilled as all the other soldiers and learn anything that could be helpful for her so that she one day could take the revenge of the murders who killed her family.
(If Natascha get chosen, there is an explanation for who the killers are).

The Dead or Alive Tournament

During the time Natascha got trained by her uncle, she searched for all the information she could get about the two murderers. It wasn¡¯t easy but she was especially getting closer to unmask one of the murderers. The information she got led her to the fifth Dead or Alive Tournament. She decided to enter the tournament and she wouldn¡¯t give up until she found and defeated her enemies. She knew this was something she had to do, and she wouldn¡¯t get peace of mind until she fulfilled her mission.

Why Natascha should be chosen

I think Natascha should be in the Dead or Alive game because she has a deep and interesting storyline. She has a good reason to be in the tournament and her story will bring an exiting turn. If Natascha becomes a part of the game we will not just have a great story in DOA5 but also in the comings Dead or Alive games. At first she will unmask one of the participators in DOA that already exists. And for the second she will continue the hunt for the other murderer.

Except for a hair-raising story, Natasha has clothes like no other. You can see that her clothes are inspired by her country and background. Her clothes are a mixture between military and a Russian beauty. The fabrics and the patterns make her clothing very detailed.

Continuation of storyline

The first murderer that Natascha unmasks in the game is Bayman. Since he is from Russia and an assassin he is a perfect killer. This will also give him a more interesting part in the game. He worked for the same army as Nataschas father and they where both serving the same political parliamentary. Bayman got hired to kill Nataschas father because there where people that didn¡¯t like to wait to see if the situation in Russia could be solved peacefully. Instead they wanted to attack their enemies and start an open war, and the only thing that stopped them was Nataschas father.

I haven¡¯t planned anything yet about the other killer since he is going to be in the future of the games. But it can be an interesting thing to look forward to.

Story

At the mere age of 7, Hana started her training to become a Kiseng for the North Korean's government court. She was named the Butterfly (Nabi) for her quick, yet graceful dancing . At the age of 15, she attended her first festival where she gained instant fame for her beauty & skill in dancing. The festival was a gathering for all North Korea's allies, one of which a representitive of DOATEC. Through this she was able to get connections with DOATEC and performed frequently (till age 17) at the HQs for Donovan.

Young Hana couldn't help but have slight feelings for Donovan, which eventually blossomed into love. Donovan saw her in a different light than most women. To him, she was an exotic beauty and a pure soul whom he could open his wretched heart to. The night before she was to leave, he invited her to his chambers. "I won't accept your money, Mr. Donovan. This is love."

Throughout the fourth tournament, Donovan frequently wrote to Hana while still maintaining his status at DOATEC. Hana was pleased, but as fate came to be, the letters stopped coming. Christie felt it was her duty to inform Hana. She gave DOATEC's entire history to her and left, acknowledging her that they will meet again.

Hana grew a strong hatred for Helena and the Ninja forces, but most for Kokoro. "She won't have DOATEC! This is Donovan's life... Born from a pimp and a whore! NO."

Upcoming DOA5 is announced. Hana, a young woman blinded by anger.

"Christie, I'm entrusting myself to you. You'll finish your job this time. We'll bring DOATEC back to its glorious days."

Extra Info:

Kiseng women were performers of traditional arts of poetry, dancing and singing. Some were also trained in medicine & martial arts . While they were of low social class, they were still highly respected for their skill and beauty. To get onto the more touchy subject, some Kiseng of middle-class did prostitute themselves. High-class Kiseng never did, because they were the most proud as only they attended court festivals and high-profile social meetings.

They are similar to the ancient greek Hetaerae women, or the japanese Geisha.
