This show is about a boy named Hideki, who get's rejected from college so he decides to go to a Tokyo prep school, he's has very little money, talks aloud in public(even when everyone's around) and is wound up tighter then a snare drum.

The take on this is in the future, computers now resemble people, in this anime they're called persecoms(in others, they're androids, cyborgs etc.) Now Hideki want's one, but can't afford one being that they're so expensive and he has so little money, as luck would have it, he comes across one in the trash. We can all see where this is going, he takes it home and manages to get it booted up. Now this persecom which he names "Chi" as innocent as a newborn, has a will of her own.

Now Hideki has two two new problems, teaching her the basics like getting dressed, taking a bath or buying basic feminine necessities like underwear. More important, Chi has a past, and that past has consequences, and Hideki still has to pass school.

I found the show to be very entertaining, it had not only great looking characters but simplygreat characters to begin with, good plot lines, subplots, good animation and everything was just well drawn and colored to begin with.

It played out like a movie because there were no filler episodes in there, everyone of them had some relevence to the main plot line which, keeps the viewer wanting to see more. The plot line also gets more tension in it as the season goes on, things start out as simple, light hearted, comedic problems to begin with, then become more serious. The season/series of the show builds up to an amazing climax.

The characters, and this includes even when some of them are annoying, are all very likable and very human, making it easy to relate to all of them. They all have their own problems and subplots which lend to the overall story. They're all very cute and good looking too. You laugh at the messes they get themselves into, but feel pity for them when things go bad for them.

There's one thing that I will warn viewers about the show, it says on the box 16 up, this is true, this show is not for young children aminly because some of the humor is of the mature nature, thing is, there's no nudity in this show and I feel strongly that it's for older teens and adults to watch. For example, those who have seen the first episode, remember where the "on" switch is for the cyborg?

I could go on but this post is getting quite long, but the last thing that I'll say about Chobits: it ends. There's nothing left unattended, all of the main characters plot lines are concluded, you see what becomes of them, However, the greater thing is that if they ever do want to pick up where they left off, they could, but it would probably be more along the lines of movies and specials.

Well, that's my thoughts, feel free to voice your thoughts and opinions on Chobits. The lines are open and operators are standing by.

Chobits is an okay series I guess, though I don't liek CLAMP's Chobits that much.
I guess it's an okay series for people new to the anime scene to see early on but it's not all that great really.
Could have used more original characters but the story is pretty good though.
Animation-wise there's nothing at all to complain at, but I hope to watch XXXholic soon so that I get a better look at what CLAMP is capable of creating.

I think that Chobits is a good series, the comedy is good, gives you a good laugh each time Chii does say something or do something weird because she doesn't understand anything. It's just funny to see how Hidki teaches her.
