Title: Very Hard mode

jamie - May 22, 2006 04:11 AM (GMT)
ok so i just started a new game in Ninja Gaiden Black in very hard mode. and to
my horror i got wiped out in the second battle. several times.
i just got done playing Ninja dog mode (in my defence i just wanted to compare it to normal mode) so i thought that might of have put me out of practice. so i then decided to go to retry hard mode, but it turns out I'm as got as i always was so I'm not out of practice.

Anyways, long story short. is very hard mode specifically designed to school (and I rarely use the term schooled) players or just me?

Not really, it wasnt too bad for me. Use the Nunchaku's XXY and spam that till dead. Spam Lunar UT's the rest of the level. Good luck.

Very Hard mode is a pain, the weird thing about it is, I'm almost done Master Ninja mode(I have four more levels to go) and I find it easier than Very Hard, I'm actually having fun playing it, or maybe I just got better at the game, I don't know, or maybe it's just me.

Some advice though; Avoid using the flying swallow attack with the Dragon Sword on the silver army soldiers, they stop you and shishcabob you in mid air, other enemies just dodge.

Fiend Ryu in the Acuaduct ABUSES explosive arrows, this is because his melee combat is very lacking(he doesn't know how to use the Dabilharo, so he must rely on cheap attacks like this, and he never runs out of them.

Know the rolling wind, most used move ever.

Yeah, MN was easier than VH for me too. Dont worry, Once you start playing religiously like some ppl I know (;)), it wont be nearly as bad anymore.

Well I played on level 1 for about 3 hour but then i toke a break before I tried again then something must have clicked because i got through almost unscratched.
I even got a 75 hit combo in one room (Unlaboured flawlessness here I come). thanks for the advice you two. the nunchakus work like a charm and i sure roll alot more. by the way Ayane's boyfriend i already found out about the swallow dive block the hard way.

The worst part about this though is that the next level was a cakewalk in comparison to the first.
