I saw the trailer for it too.... If you watch carefully that whole "attack item" and stuff is at the bottom :shocked: Is that seriously how a battle is played out!!!??

Either way, it looks awsome.... though im amazed they moved from final fantasy XII to XIII so quickly.... i mean XII isn't even out here yet LOL

i agree, how you gonna make a sequal to a game that isnt out yet?? [its out in japan, but thats march 16. thats still new.... newish. its far from worldwide]

the gunblade returns, theres a girl lead...... very cool. but that weapon of here..... it intrigues me. PaiN, the options are on the bottom cause its real-time and, i guess, you can choose the stuff on the bottom and you fight real-time-ish. this is just a guess tho... gots the game info at wiki

Yeah but look how fast it all goes.... maybe it was somebody holding down a button and when you go to choose a command.... it freezes until you choose a command.... maybe??? :hmm:

or maybe its kinda like the kingdom hearts battle system and ya just go all out real time. that there would be cool, casting ultima while sword dancing, all as a summoned bahamut lays down fire from overhead. all in real time. i get warm and fuzzy feelins just thinking about it, especialy seeing how beautifuly the game runs and how amazing it looks in battle

But some ffans may be disappointed by it.....

really, RT summoning sounds cool and new. its like the QB-Vision for final fantasy. as long as SE plays thier cards right, and they usually do, the RT thing will heal those heartbroken turn-based hearts. as pain said, 'i welcome new experiences' <-- i second this

well, FF games have almost always had some user control over the play speed, "active" vs turn based etc. so i guess they could add in some pausing etc for the oldschoolers


but for once, i realy, realy wanna see summons act in real time where your party dosnt disapear to be replace by the summon but rather it does its square enix designed amazingly cool beam of death all while your still going full on against the enemy

The girl is the only character they show in the preview maybe she could be the only character but earn jobs.... like in FFX-2 except.... more jobs maybe..
