I'm playing Ninja Gaiden Black on very hard mode and I'm in the castle level - "The Core," and they change those fiend challenges to get the statue to go fight the emperor. The second boss is a female fiend that has a whip like arm, she's very fast, and has very devastating attacks, I can land a single hit on her, she dodges.

I'm wondering if anyone who has beaten her can share their stategy to victory so that I can fight that devil guy and continue to the emperor.

yup yup...i use the dark dragon sword, n i just jump towards the wall n do a back flip n slash her with the sword...u know wht i mean right?...but right after u hit her DO NOT stay close to her, it would b fatal.

Thank you for trying. That strategy works somewhat, I don't have the DD, so I use the dabilaro or the kitetsu, the problem is, I'll land one or two hits, then try to get away, but she hits Ryu even if he's blocking, or rolling out of the way.

Another beef I have, her attacks can't be evadaded, even if I have Ryu far away she somehow hits him with a short range combo, and forget ninpo, it does nothing.

Another controller bites the dust. I think I should put this game away for a while.

Alright, Ishtaros, whip fiend, I've beaten her after much frustration. This is for us mere mortals who are currently, or will be stuck on this boss-don't get angry at the game, there's an easy way to dispatch her.

Now, I thank you, the one person who helped, but I've actually came up with a more efficient strategy. The method you, and the strategy book gave works, but here's the problem, it's getting up the wall to set up for the attack, and there's no guarantee you'll hit her, then you must evade, it's very hard and leaves too close to her leaving Ryu open to attack.

Here's my stategy: 1.Equip Ryu with the Kitetsu or the True Dragon, now Ishtaros gives you two oppurtunities to hit her the first is when she comes down at Ryu after swinging around-Ryu must roll and time it exactly or he'll get hit with a devastating assualt-now get 3-4 good swipes-don't get greedy,-now roll and jump away as far and as fast as you can.

2.Now she'll lauch a magic attack-very devastating if she lands it-once again a well timed roll does the trick-she does this cheap move 2-3 times meaning you must dodge 2-3 times-timed precisely remember.

3.After she realizes the magic attack is being avoided she wants to resort to a close range attack and fast-she assassin rushes up to you-again, a well timed evasion leaves you standing right next to her-now get 3-4 good swipes and roll far away.

4.Repeat steps 1-3.

A few things to know-never try to attack her head on, she's way to fast and she'll smack Ryu around before you even have a chance to hit the X button.
-You'll need to fight her a few times to get the timings(so that you can roll at the right time) of her attacks and her patterns.
