i've checked every store within a 30-min. driving distance from me (southern nh) and i haven't found any.
BUT, some of the big chains will be having promotional sales for new years. i originally posted this at
doatec.com, but in case anyone here is interested...

and wal-mart is advertising a jan. 1 sale. some stores have already received shipments, but are holding off sales. others are (reportedly) not. you may want to call your local store to see what they are doing. |
if there is a best buy near you, you can find out its store number by going to their
website and entering your zip code.
also, circuit city and target appear to be getting small shipments (in the single digits) every few days. if you don't mind getting up early, you may want to check them out early in the morning.

Now i'm starting to get pissed. I always wanted one for my birthday but I never got any these past couple of days. I tried to lie to Gamestop that I reserved one but they asked what my name was. And I said it was Mike Jones then I hanged up.

if anyone still cares (or wants to try their luck) wal-mart had some 360s this morning. i think 12 were allocated to each store--6 premiums and 6 cores.
speaking of, i now have a 360! :D
it's a core system though... :(
