Title: When does Ninja Gaiden play exactly?

Ok, theres a question that goes on my nerves very long:
Does Ninja Gaiden(all games) play before, while or after the DoA-Tournaments? :hmm:

before.
Ayane's younger in NG.
But I'm not completely sure if it even plays in the same "game world".
I mean in DoA everyone is from countries that exist in reality, but the place where most of ninja gaiden plays is made up.

Isnt DOAtek or the stageds in doa made up?
its before since ayane is 14 in NG and she is 16 in DOA1-3, not sure about 4 though.

Its before, that all you wante to know right?

It takes place before, it's a prequel. It does take place in the same universe, only the Vigoor Empire is fictional, however, they cleverly mention in the game and in the booklet that it is a dictatorship located in a land locked areain western Asia. It remains shrouded in mystery due to it's policy of national seclusion, meaning that very few people in the DOA/NG world even know of it's existence. Ayane, Ryu for sure know (well duh) and possibly Hayate and Kasumi may know of it, but it's very slight. I'm willing to bet none of the other DOA characters know of it, if they did and they knew what Ryu has done there, they'd head for the hills after finding out he was in the DOA tornament. The man slaughtered a dragon...............Doku.........
lord of the underworld..................you know. DOA should be like a cake walk for Ryu after what he's been through. He's no regular ninja, he's Ryu Hayabusa!
I plagerized the NG game booklet a bit here, so for those who may recognize some of the lines here, I know already, it's not all mine.
One last thing, the characters don't look as cartoony and anime like in this as they do in DOA, I assume that it's to set up a darker, more serious mood for this game as opposed to the DOA series.

@Dan:
Yeah, thanks, now I know a little bit more about my favourit game :bow:
@ayane's boyfriend:
Hmm..... It seems that you know very much about the game :yes:
The DoA-tournament really would be easy for Ryu, but I think he wants to let the others win so that they won´t be in a bad mood ;)
