It seems that Sony has wanted to make the movie a DVD and somehow it had gotten leaked onto the internet. The Hong Kong group known as "Bien" basically leaked it. Crazy huh? It is downloadable via Torrent like "bittorrent", "Azureus", or whatever torrent program anyone might posses. Doesn't matter who thinks of piracy, thousands of people will download it resulting in Square Enix's funds on the movie to drop. Sadly enough they'll have alot of difficulty selling the DVD as well as the PSP DVD.

It can also result in the FFVII Remake for the PS3 or the X-Box 360 (we have no idea which console it's being released to) to not make it on shelves or even be made AT ALL. It's a Lose-Lose scenario. Sadly enough, as far from the internet navigation I went through to see what's really going down I've found out that maybe it could've been Sony's fault. So no one has tototally believe me on this but I will explain.

I had said that Sony wanted to release the movie via DVD. Not many people own a PSP and won't have access to seeing the movie. So Sony (which owns Square Soft also) wanted to make big
bucks off the movie. Seeing that DVD's are easy to make ISO's or BIN files, someone had tohave the guts to crack a movie that had 2 days left for launch. It's a MKV. file so I've heard. And SUBS can be found on the internet as well. So the overall fault goes to Sony. Later news will be presented. Maybe it's sony's fault or maybe another.

And for the movie. It's so annoying that it's already on the net.

Is this a joke, JWBB? Halo 2, Sin City, and MANY, MANY other games/movies were leaked, and they all did very well. If anything, this will boost sells. It won't affect their profits, and it won't affect their future games. Quite frankly, this leak doesn't mean anything.

By the way, EVERY movie you could ever think of is downloadable through the Internet, whether it be before or after its said release date, so honestly, what's your point here? Your post doesn’t make any sense.

Perhaps, but my point here was to see what everyone's reactions are to the explanation that: 1) it was apparantly Sony's fault. 2) That it had been pushed back. This is a General Discussion topic about movies. Meaning that there's nothing wrong with posting this bit of news.

That's not what I meant. Of course there's nothing wrong with posting this news, I'm talking about your actual post about what you think is going to happen because of it. It doesn't make sense. No offense or anything.

i wasn't going to bother watching it at all since ff7 is one of my least favorite games ever, but my brother insisted i watch it.
