Title: Evangelion
Description: My thoughts(and questions)

Victorthebattousai - September 13, 2005 10:53 PM (GMT)
I just rented the episodes 1-4 of this anime, and I really like it. Interesting characters, good animation, and, best of all, cool giant robots(yes, geek am I) My question is this: Is this an anime that I could let my little brother watch? I want to make sure I'm not getting into an anime with a lot of nudity or anything. Sorry if this is an innappropriate question.

you talking bout NGE?
depending on the age of your brother i would not let him watch it.
15 or 16 might be okay.
in the following episode things really get psychological and disturbingly confusing.

Agreed with HKA ^^

The story get very disturbing in the end, ... donīt underestimate EVA because of itīs cute school-soap-drama initiation.

Yeah, its starting to sound sort of like they are fighting God or something. Urgh. This series looked good to. Psychological stuff isn't so bad, but the synopsis for the "End of Evangelion" doesn't sound like kids stuff. Is the Manga any better?

well i got the new platuim edution of eva and it good

i scene all of eva, dont let ya bro watch it if he is young. 15 and 16 is probably teh better starting ages cause EVA runs deep. i mean it is deep in alot of parts: psycological, evangelist, pg-13+ man.

as spartain said, get EVA plat, the animations were redone on it and just looks so much better

All true, this anime has some 'fan-service' and enough psychological refrences to make and ordinary human being hemorage from the brain.

But I still throughly enjoyed the series in spite of the hospital bill.

adam and eve all over again. they are gonna restart life on earth. and if you dont get where that is going....
you know in the end, when lilith broke almost everyone's AT Fields and they were in orange juice, shinji took back his earlier decicion, and him and asuka were the only people left. They could retain thier AT Fields so they got thier bodies back. All other people, the other 8 billion, havent retained thier individuality... so it will take time. [i suppose either on thier own or by birth]
but none-the-less, there is still ambiguousness to EoE, so dont worry, you are not the only one

This is a good show, I picked up the series box set a few weeks ago and watched all of it on a weekend, I'll have to watch it again, there are a lot os symbols that I missed, and tons of biblical references.

The show also takes on a philisophical perspective, where the characters always question their motives and why they're there.

Good action, and a good cerebral story with well developed characters, I recamend this show to anybody with a liking to sci-fi media.
