I bought my Xbox in Nov 2002 and bought DOA3 at the same time.
The first game I really played a lot was SCII. I go to the arcade and play every Sat. and sometimes see the Japanese champion. I need more practice (need to be faster and use GI's, etc.).
I have lived in Japan (Tokyo area) since 8/91 and I was born and raised in the Los Angeles (San Gabriel Valley) area.
I'm probably one of he oldest people on these forums.
In SCII I only use Talim and in DOA3 I only use Kasumi. It's a challenge but I'm too stuborn to quit...(fighting games 'til I die man!)
That's one thing I always wanted is to go to an acrade and be able to play against someone a lot better than me. I think a lot of the people that do very well in there tournaments have that kind of competition where someone else is always better so they're able to improve.
The only time I really had that is when I used to play Street Fighter at a small arcade here but that was awhile ago, these days not many people here are at a very high level so it makes it difficult to get better.
Konnichiwa! Saikin doudai? genki shiteta?
Genki desu.
Ayane- Yeah but almost everyone is better than me so lately I've been getting pissed (mostly at myself for losing).
I mean it's been a year and I'm still losing. Many of the good players have been playing longer than me and they are faster (not to mention younger). I may never be faster than them. What do I do?
I guess I'll keep practicing and be the best Talim I can be. Kaze o!
