final fantasy is the most famous game of all time right? as much as i like it i sometimes wish it could end since there are over 15 games in the series. is that just me or does any1 else fell like that

Well I think they call each one Final Fantasy because each game is in it's own time, universe, world etc. So I guess the name fits ok. And no, Final Fantasy should never end.

Well KH isn't an actuall FF game, same with KH2.

FFX, FFX-2 is an continues where FFX left off so really it's not another game in a way.

FFT, FF7- I nevered played the game but I believe the only crossover was to get Cloud as a secret character and to get him, you had to do stuff with robots to bring him to the future or was it to bring him to thier universe.

If ya want, I could tell ya the exact reason why they picked the name "FINAL FANTASY".

Well back when Japan had a system that read floppy disk to play games Squresoft, were doing games but failed on making money off it(b/c the games suck). So they dicided to make an RPG and named it "FINAL FANTASY". The reason for this is because, if the game was bad then the series would end heance the word Final in Final Fantasy. But the game came out to be a complete sucsses.

Oh and "Kindom Hearts" is not a FF game, just from the same company(Well not really since they merged with another company and became SquareEnix now).

but it was made before they merged. i still think it is a ff game. DAMN ONE WINGED ANGEL! excuse me.

i thought it was Final Fantasy because it was supposed to be the producer's (i totally can't remember his name right now) last project, and the name was kind of an in-joke.

of course, after it became a huge success, he stuck around for awhile. ;)

The merge really have nothing to do with it. The people that made FF wanted to make diffrent games so they made KH and just made it with FF characters. The name Kindom Hearts itself makes it, it's own game.

Umm that answer don't make sence. So your saying that it's a FF because it has some elements of it. So then StreetFighter and KingsofFighter are the same as well b/c, they have the same elements as well.

EX: 1. Both have two players onscreen when fighting
2. Both games have side-scrolling when moving
3. Both games they have special moves/finishings(characters) etc...

This can go on and on. Just because a game has similar elements(or exact) of another dosen't make it all the same.

Final Fantasy is my all time favorite! They always tend to come up with great story lines, likeable characters, nice gameplay and fmgs, and they make me go through a 'final fantasy' phase where I look for fanarts, make my own fanarts, read fanfics, reasearch the story - stuff like that. And I love the music. Just great! I'm listening to the the reunion track right now. I really want to attend one of those concerts, but I don't have money... :(

Oh, and maybe kingodom hearts is not an ff game, but I'd like to think of it as an ff game just because cloud and sephiroth and squall and the gang are in it. And because sora's hair is like clouds - only brunette.
