They're probably gonna base it off of Doom 3. The Rock does look somewhat like the character you play. Buff, a round head and a crewcut. My brother and I might in fact watch it just because it's based off of Doom.

well Doom 3 is really more of a remake of original Doom so...yeah.

anyway. IF The Rock is going to play the marine and the movie follows the game plot fairly closely, i wouldn't be too worried, since being silent and tough-looking is like, the only thing the guy can do anyway. :p

I think the main character in Doom 3 actually spoke. I'm not sure but I did hear a clear voice in the part when you're going through the air ducts

This movie doesn't sound too bad.

This movie has no true connection to the game other than the name. :p Why is it based off of monsters? Weak. This movie's gonna suck.

IF it doesn't suck in terms of execution, they still lose points for straying so far from the game's upbringings.

I think the Rock will have a part as a major demon, or an ending boss. It was his opinion in the interviews of the film 'The Mummy Returns' that he preferred to play an enemy character or 'bad guy'. Remember?

If they include, Sarge, Professor Swann, the freaky scientist, Sgt. Kelly and the other characters in the game, then it shouldn't be too bad. Maybe if they have the Soul Cube or the mysterious artifact from RoE, then that would add to the pros.
