This is one of the Hardest and Scariest Resident Evil games I ever played! OMG This game is soooooooo gooooooood! I love this game! GET THIS GAME! NOW! When I started playing this game... oh my god. The graphics, the stuff you can do, the fighting you can perform. It's... it's.... beautifull.... You can jump out of windows, Pop of heads, throw grenads, use your gun and knife at the same time, use stealth, knock down ladders, shoot C4 Bombs, use guns that RE never even issued before!

You can EVEN MOD YOUR OWN GUN!!!!!! And buy guns from a creepy looking guy. Just like RE Zero you can drop your own items and pick up more items along the way. Shoot villagers and recieve items from them like Herbs, money, and ammo. The game gets real freakin creepy too. It gets dark and you get attacked out of nowhere and it scares the crap outta you!

These are not zombies your facing... Not even Hill Billys. Your in a Spanish type village where everyone speaks spanish. Except for Leon. These guys pack Axe's, ChainSaws, Pitch Forks, Sticks, and even bite you if your not carefull.

The Story? You are leon 6 years later after the Racoon City incident. Your mission as a US Goverment agent is to rescue the Presidents Daughter. She was captured by a Unknown group on her way home one day in massachussets. It is rumoured that she was taken to a village inside of a Church and never seen again. Now, you must save her. And what is rumoredin Leons blood? I don't know that yet!

I give this game a 10. Screw it. This game is hot. Please. GO BUY IT! NOW! FOR GOD'S SAKE BUY IT NOW!!!!!!

I'm so jealous :yes: I really wanna play Resident Evil 4 but it's not out for Psx 2 and I'm not buying the gamecube for it !! have fun finishing the game !!

I've only just started my Gamecube collection of RE, so before I get RE4, I'll have fun losing at RE: Zero, then get every one of the massive series. Ack! Stuck in a train!

There is no way in hells name a PS2 can handle the graphics RE4 has in play. There is just no way it can. PS2 has graphics close to the Dreamcast now alone it trying to handle the graphics engine of the Gamecube. There is just no way.

don't underestimate the power of the playstation 2 !! maybe it won't be able to beat the graphics from the Gamecube and X-box but considering the ps 2 is on the market for some years now shows how powerful it is !!

PS2 is about to be kicked to the curb and replaced by PS3. PS2's life span is running out sadly. It only lasted 5 years while PSx lasted for a decade.

Edit: Maybe Resident Evil 4 will be put on PS3. Just a thought.

I thought it was released 1991... I don't know when PSx was released. It was too long ago. But yeah. PS2 is gonna be kicked to the curb. Trust me.

Kicked to the curb? I doubt it, PS2 is still quite strong and has a huge fanbase. PS3 will be much bigger but PS2 will still be a standard.

well nowadays the PS2 is crap
the games have some quality, but graphics just suck...

Xbox is getting good grafix and so is Gamecube (though most game developers aren't really using NGC's power, but use it for 'Functional Graphics' while Xbox game developers try to make eyecandy instead of real solid Gameplay)

I've played this also....plenty of times. A friend of mine just purshased my copy of RE4, so now i've more time to play.

Personal Review:
I am quite pleased with the way RE4 turned out. It goes to show you what a dedicated team will do for their loyal fanbased. Definately THE best RE title to date!. Graphical capabilities are much better than the previous RE remake and the newley RE0, the addition of OTS (Over the Shoulder) view makes for a visually creepy experience.

The in-game events are also a welcome addition to the franchise. Shenmue and Sword of the Beserk had them, and RE4 adds to the funfactor. Trust me....you don't want to place your controller down...ever!

Pros:
-Excellent game visuals
-Story is compelling and keeps up with the previous story
-Character designs have a "dead" feel to them a la Silent Hill series
-Enviornments are stunning.
-Added soundtrack adds to the creepy factor....a la Silent Hill

Cons:
-This game needs a BETTER targeting reticle...something like in Metroid Prime series
-Camera angle can mess you up in a few spots
-A.I. is soooooooo unforgiving, especially if you get fustrated easily
-Aiming at key points for attack gets tricky in many situations

Overall, i give kudos to the creator. He took his time with this, and the end result is worthy of my props.

I played it on my friend's 'Cube. The Mercenaries mini-game is the best Capcom minigame ever! I was hooked!

Oh, and the voice overs are great as well. Love the movie feel. They should make a CG movie of this one.

And, IMO, the presentation's up there with Halo 2. :D

I'll glady take this over those shotty controls that halo 2 offers....unless it's on a mouse and keyboard.

I won't get a PSP, I'll wait for the portable Xbox (not real name). I've seen a leaked prototype model. Also the Xbox 2 will surely beat the PS3; sorry guys.
