Finally got the DVD version of this, when I first rented the VHS I couldn't finish it due to the ##### quality.

The story was very well written, it takes place in Jo-sun dynasty years after a japanese invasion and the nation is slowly falling apart due to rebellion. A man is forced to betray his position in order to save his men (the ones trying to prevent the rebel forces) and kills his best friend. A few ministers are assassinated and he is ordered to capture them..... and I'll stop there or else I may ruin it for people who want watch it.

This is a WYSIWTF (what you see is what they film) movie, meaning no wuxia/fantasy swordplay (wuxia is flying characters, twirling 20 feet in the air, using water drops as lethal weapons, etc.). The sword fights were great, nicely done costumes, cool beheadings, and an awsome story line.

Even if your not interested in swordplay movies, you may still enjoy Kim Bo-Kyung because she was very hot. I took off a point for some dizzy camera shots.

I...can;t say that I've heard of it. X_X
