Title: 3 types of Attacks
Dan - December 11, 2004 12:14 AM (GMT)
Itagaki said that we have three different types of attacks.
- Slope attack
- Ceiling
- Water
To exicute Slope go on to any slope end and press "throw" with the opponet on the end or you againsnt the end. To exicute Ceiling you have to do a counter or a throw to ecicute this move. For Water use Bayman and go toward any water place
*(Has to be water not ice or rain)* and press :right: Throw, for Lean press :left: throw.
Hope this helps!

Thanks. Could I send you a Friend Request on Xbox Live Dan? Most of the people on my Friends List either do not have DOA: Ultimate or never play it.

To clear up more of what he's saying:
Slope "attacks" are new to DOA:U. Basically, i believe the command is usually 88P+F facing an edge, and your character will do a throw that involves throwing the opponent off the slope in some fashion. Pretty neat.
Ceiling attacks have been around for a while, but basically any throw or counter that tosses them high up in the air will cause them to bounce off the ceiling. Example: Hayabusa's Izuna drop. Ayane's Mid Kick counter, etc.
As for water attacks, i have yet to see this, but if they're Bayman/Leon exclusive, then its not really universal and its probably better (but not as cool looking) to do their chain throws.
i thought this thread was gonna be about the difference in Highs Mids and Lows, and the advantages and disadvantages of each...oh wells...

Some characters don't have ceiling attacks and I've thrown near a ledge with Leifang and didn't notice anything special.
It's spelled Itagaki.

Dan - December 11, 2004 08:20 PM (GMT)

did you do a normal throw or 88P+F?
Talim JP - December 12, 2004 02:58 AM (GMT)
That explains it.
I should do 88 throw? Prima's crap book says it's a normal throw. Looks like it's supposed to be just throw. It just pushes them off (I wanna see her ride their face down the slope! -this is from a guy that stomps and throws people when they are KOd).
I'll go into prac and see someday.
I still am huntin' for you XCTU. (Re come on you need more points don't you?).
XCTU - December 12, 2004 08:11 PM (GMT)
lol, i dont go on cause the lag is horrendous. People dont want to play against me and i dont have fun playing slow motion.
And i dont need the points either cause starting Jan 1st, my XBL expires and im done with it.

indeed. I predict a 2006-2007 release, and thats when i'm gonna be in Japan. It might be a long train ride, but hey...we can still meet up sometime. I'll look for the guy with signs of lots of beatings from his wife.
Talim JP - December 18, 2004 02:38 PM (GMT)
That'd be a wheelchair and lots of bandages (sorry I won't be able to use a joystick)...
And if they don't hurry up and release SCIII gonna be me and Dekka Cho sitting on one machine for the JP championship! (at least I'm guaranteed 2nd place).
Man not many people playin' SCIII (I'm playin' as long as Dekka Cho plays!).
Hurry it up Namco!
Curse you T5; I'll play VF4 Final before I touch T5!
