Gameplay (9/10)
Playing the game on normal for the first time is a good idea, it gives you the opportunity to get familiar with the moves. One of my friends told me that the moves will be like a fighting game, he was right. If you're good at memorizing button sequences, then you should have no problem doing well, even on the hardest difficulty.
The AI of the enemies is very impressive on hard, but normal wasn't challenging enough for me after I got the hang of the game. I always play my games on the highest difficulty because I always want to see how good I am. I have to admit hard sure isn't easy, sometimes I get stuck on what to do when I have several enemies on me and I end up getting slammed into a corner, but there's always the counter which makes things a little easier.
Team Ninja did an excellent job with the AI in this game, if you're someone that likes to take things easy, the normal difficulty is for you. However, if you want to test your skills, go with the hard difficulty.
Camera (8/10)
There were a few instances where it was difficult to see where I was, but I'm sure it will be resolved in the final version.
Sound (10/10)
Not much to say about this except that Team Ninja did and excellent job with the music and sound affects. The music isn't too loud that it gets annoying. I can't wait to see what other music is in the full release of the game. I'm also happy that they included both japanese and english voiceovers.
Menu system (10/10)
The menu system is perfect, being able to look up moves for certain weapons in game is very useful.
Lasting appeal (10/10)
The demo will keep people occupied until the full version of the game releases on March 3rd. I'm sure we all can't wait to see what additional features Team Ninja added on for this masterpiece.
Final score: 9/10
Nice review! :D Thats just the demo from E3 of last year. What would you give the graphics? Just imagine what the final version is going to be like! :o
I don't think people will be able to truly appreciate the games graphics unless they stop to look around, I just did that today. The action in the game is so intense sometimes that you can't stop and look around.
Still though Ayane the graphics in this game are pretty good. I saw the Ninja Gaiden commercial and it showed gameplay clips and I must say the graphics are pretty good. I just can't wait to play it on my projector! :D
The Final Boss battle though. It was fun. But a real pain...
