Title: Lei's chain throw notations

Hmm.....okay, after playing my brother yesterday, i've noticed a few things with lei's chain throw (three hit throw)...

a) One of her faster + stronger throws, if excecuted accurately, deals a high ammount of damage
b) This move does about 60% damage from a miss-counter alone
c) The extra version of this throw is highly effective when near a wall
d) If accurately timed (good finess), your opponent has a minimal 20% chance of escaping
e) It is even possible to win matches or even sets by using this move alone.

My brother and i played a race to see who could reach 10 sets first, and afterwards we had an additional 5 for a total of 15. Not only did my bro beat me to both races, but he upped me by 1.

Character's used:
me - Kasumi (14 wins)
my bro - Leifang (15 wins)

My main weakness from this fight was indeed lei's chain throw. Not only is it fast and nearly unescapable, but he had a strong tendency to abuse this method......especially when it came down to the final rounds. This resulted in many sets ending in his favor.

No disrespect to the many of us who use leifang, but i dislike her serverely because i feel with the addition of her advance counters, it makes her status too powerful as a fighter. Plus an expert will abuse this manuver whenever he or she gets the opportunity. :argh:

But i guess it wasn't all bad.....we pissed each other off so much, all we could do was laugh about it the entire night.

Go figure...

Please note though, she is only REALLY good, if you don't semi-button-mash and semi-think-about-attack, like me. But, yeah, that three hit throw is really helpful. And the counters are good, but hard, for me, to do.

yeah, Lei is like, 3rd or 4th best character in the game. Kasumi is pretty low on the chain. The parries give like, guaranteed damage, and like, her throw on a counter is broke, and even if its not on a counter, it still does hella. But there's nothing you can really do about it except learn not to get thrown, meaning not to counter so much.

I know, which really bites if you ask me.....kasumi's a well-balanced character. She may not be a heavy hitter, but her speed more than makes up for that flaw, especially when you know how to mix things up with her.

As for countering, even if you try and attack or even stand still, you can still be thrown....and from that throw, it's still pretty bad.

Now, if i was using Tina instead........lol :dancebaby:

I hate that throw from Lei-fang because it is not fair. My brother and I do a lot of who is better at something. Time attack mode is one of them, My character is Helena and I have a really good time. But with Lei-fang he holds the record just by performing that throw over and over again. He said that he was just better than me at Dead or Alive, well I showed him. One day I played with Lei-fang, and I don't know her moves, I just learned the 3 hit throw and started playing Time Attack, I beat it without losing a single round and beat his personal record !! Nothing against all the Lei-fang experts because she is a good fighter but it is unfair if you can beat someone or the computer with one move, it takes out all the techinique that Dead or Alive has to ofer, so they should weaken her throw a little in Ultimate.

Yeah, that in my opinion just becomes stupid. The people that i play here have become so accurate with that throw, i don't even try to escape it anymore....unless they screw it up. I know just how dumb that move is because i used to use her at one point, but i gave up after seeing first hand how prioritizing her chain throw is.

And i believe in fair fighting, and the one thing i despise is when someone does that throw to me and then says "oh, what's wrong? are you getting scared of me?"

Scared haha, of that throw ?? more irritated I would say.

If the opponent buffers the move your chance of escaping the throw combo is to input at 2-1 frames (that's really freaking hard). It's the same with all of the combo throws. Leon, Bass, Bayman, Lei Fang, Jann Lee. Whatever.

Now we all can agree that she is the Slowest girl on the game, right...? and in sacrifice for speed... you get power... right...? Isn't that how most situations like this work...? So.. who's to say that she has too much power when all of the other girls have much better speed... Look at Kasumi and Ayane... they're the fastest girls on the Game... but they're weak. So they gave them a lot of combos just to be formidable in battle... Lei Fang is Slow... so she deserves power... Hitomi is a standard and well balanced fighter, that's why her power is decent as well as her speed... standard and fast characters are what most people go for...

Speakin' on Power again... Lei Fangs grab is get outable... you just have to have the proper timing... if you have that... then you wouldn't be in here joining a club of people who can't time the "get out feature" right... I have no problem with it because I can understand that you can escape if you really wanna. Now... Like Hayabusa's Izuna Drop... that's a different story... But still... if you don't wanna go through with that drop of his... make sure that he doesn't catch any of your punches and make sure that you either duck or gain distance from his Izuna grab... Believe me... it's better to take a ducking grab from him than an Izuna Drop.

The game is based of Strategy and Reflexes... if you can't dish out a good strategy and keep your reflexes on point... or fix you current strategy into a better one... then you're better off not competing in this game... There is always room for improvement... in strategy and in Reflexes. If your reflexes are so good where as you can duck the moment that someone tries to grab you... then you ain't gotta worry about Lei Fang's Grab.

Here's a tip for those who have a really hard time getting out of her grab:

Play as her and practice Doing the 3 grab combo until you can do it without pausing... and then when someone does that move to you... you'll know when to press the button to get out.

Note: For those of you who don't know when to press the button to get out or to put in the next command of the grab combo watch for the sign: "Grab Combo" in blue on Lei Fang's side. The moment it comes up, press the Grab button to get out or input the next command to continue the hurt... Who ever presses what they have to press first will win the mini grab battle...

I play with Lei Fang because she is My best Girl Character next to Kasumi (Ninja girls always comes first) and because of that... I don't even have to worry about anyone else using that move on me.

Uhhmm... That's it I guess...
