Description: and confusion. Brad

Hey. I noticed nothing really being disscused about Mr. Wong...
WTF NOT? Oh well I may as well start something to benefit this fourm.
I know what Im about to explain...pretty basic. But Im trying my shot at strat so bare with me please.
Stances
4K = Dokuritsu-Ho (DH)
44P = Haisei (BT)
3P+K = Kozento (LDH = Lying down head toward enemy)
2P+K = Kokoto (LDF = Lying down feet toward enemy)
Special Stuff
9P = Kuchu-Hon
7P = Taishin-Hon
P+K = Nehan-Tenshin
4P+K = Hekika-Kuhon
Brad is a rapidly moving mind game and using him as an aggressive character to force out enemies.
Here is a list of key moves to keep in mind.
P = Brads basic punch unlocks K_PK_PK4_P1K_PK, P2K…the options are wide.
2K = This move is a low. But Brad can mix up after the first hit. Your options are P_K_[2]K.
1K = Brad gets down to sweep with his feet. [1]KKK and 1KK2K goes into LDF. 1KKK puts you in BT
4P = an High (mid maybe?) Evasive manuver. Hitting P again with result in 24 damage and puts you in BT, K on the other hand does 36 damage and can attack again with another K.
46PP = your options from here are P_K. P puts you in BT and K goes Low.
This list is short compared to his LARGE command list. But The options make them worth it.
Basic Mixing
Many of Brads basic combos mix moves and end in stances. basic P,P,4 puts Brad in BT, while there you open the door to even more mixing. But for now Basic attack mixing is what its about. Since Brad can poke you from different angles he can, in fact be hard to read. moves like 2K,P and 1K mix ups along with various others. If the enemy some how catches on you can start using other attacks (Ex: instead of 9K, Mix in a 9P or a 9P,P)
Advanced Mixing
Since Brad's moves will most likely end you in DH,BT,LDH, or LDF. its best to take note of the sitituation. DH holds most of Brads power strikes, with the exception of 4K,or 2K, and F, F cancels the entire stance and has Brad blocking. 4K is a poke which is what makes this stance useful. and 2K which after a 4K is also a good option. BT is a risky stance. while it does contain more mix-ups, you are in danger of taking more damage if hit luckily you can enter either LDF or LDF. LDH is the BT of Lying down stances, the good thing about it you can switch it to LDF with F+K, and this stance is pretty useful.
LDF has time consuming attacks, but the key is mixing up fakes with the real damage players (EX: LDF,6 instead of LDF 6K)
Throw & Counter Mixing
There may be some times when the enemy whiffs a counter. be aware of these moments. Brads mind games have worked, Use a throw as soon as see that counter like stance. Now on using counters, you gotta know character attack patterns. look for commonly used moves to gain the upper hand in a counter game. Brad can also Mix up throws and counter with attacks.
Curtain attacks can beat brad's slower moves...instead of finishing the move go for a counter. LDF also has a leg grab. this is definately useful if you got the enemy used to a curtain pattern (EX: LDF, F+K or LDF,K Get the enemy used to the pattern. soon they either try countering or stopping your LDF . Mix them with LDF,F+P)
Here are some basic combos.
PK, PK, PK
PK, PK, 2KP
PK,PK,[1]KKK
PK, PK4, BT[2]K
PK, PK4, BT F+K
2KP,PK,[1]KKK
2KP,[1]KKK
2KP,1KKK
PK4, BT 6K, 2K
2KP, PK, 1PK
2KP, PK, 6PP
2KP, 46PPP_K
eh...this is all I have now...uhh...any good? if so I'll add more...heck disscuss this stuff.

I see someone posted something about Brad, I would have but I dont use him that much :D

Hmm....brad's a pretty unorthodoxed character. I used him for a bit, just to learn his basic attacks. Because of the practice, i can hold my own against a brad opponent. :)
I've also noticed that if your an aggressive player, then brad's not a good choice...you've got to have a specified "flow" when you use him....that's the only way to become an expert with him. ;)

His set up throw gives him i10 which is best followed with 6P+K or 33P (which itself gives you a launch... though not the best one.)
His SS while in the LIE stance allows him to whiff mids if timed right... try this on pratice mode against Helena. Everytime she is about to hit press 8/2 to whiff it and use whatever attack you wish during the recovery frame. I suggest his stance throw or 6K.
Brad is a horrible juggler as far as creativity is concerned, you can make some using the free up button but 9:10 it will be very hard and unreliable depending on the terran. He loses alot of priority fights so you have to play it CB to B with him which is good since a great deal of his attacks will launch on CB/HCB.

I wonder how he will do on online play. Yes he's good off-line but there is lag on online thats what i am wondering. If a player plays with lag will they be able to see his moves coming?
Xabinator - July 1, 2005 01:46 PM (GMT)
he'll b even more dangerous... :twisted:

Lag is never your best friend....in anything.

Some pple even rely no lag to win. Those are the pple who can never play or win in anything. Also I don't think lag would help him. His moves are slow enough,lol
